    Went and packed a few swamps today

    Went out on the 17 corridor (south of Tomahawk)....packed a couple of the swamps...snow was deeper than I thought, and I will be cleaning coontails out of my grills for months...LOL...had a blast though...for first ride of the season.

    Nokomis ice

    We have ice....the lake iced over Friday morning....ice fishermen are reporting 3 inches in the bays....there are still some open areas near bridges, and river inlets...not safe for riding yet...but it is a start - - - Updated - - - Not sure why it is sideways...or how to fix it...lol

    We lost what little snow we had yesterday....and there is ZERO ice on any lakes (it had started forming in the bays this weekend...then...it rained for two days).....I can't remember the last time the U.P. didn't have rideable snow for the opener.....So far this is not a great start to winter...

    I was in town yesterday for a funeral....and it was raining, and 42 degrees...I counted at least 20 sleds, coming into and out of town to get gas (over a 3 hour period)....I was floored...they had to have been running on mud and gravel......what ticks me off is...what little base was out there...
