Yes when I have mine restored I will be putting on the 5200 bottom which eliminates the need to soak the bottom. My cousin and uncle just had theirs done too. It's nice. The soaking process takes days to get them ready for the lake.

Yeah, I have but they all suggest outside over gravel. I'm trying to figure out a different approach if possible. I never thought I would have one of these boats but it was my uncles and Grandfathers which they bought in the 1950's. My cousins were going to sell it for parts so I figured I...

MRBB, all good info. Yes I have thought about a car port and would probably work. Who knows maybe it will end up being something like that, but that's so not me :) Trying different options, researching (as you can see) and hoping to see if anyone here had any experience with wood boat storage...

Yes, this is what my son told me too. Humidor level. 60% is supposedly ideal. "Do the seams split because of the wood changing dimension or the finish not being able to shrink/expand?" Not sure, but maybe a combination of both. Agree air movement will need to occur. Thank you for your...

I was planning on running a humidifier but I don't know how the temp/humidity relationship could cause mold from condensation in the walls. From what I've read mold isn't an issue at this temperature and humidity combination. I was referencing this chart I found online. not sure how this effects...

    Building / Shop advice

Does anyone here have experience with the relationship between temperature and humidity and it's effects on the framing of a structure? I'm aware of the basic understanding of the condensation on the windows we get when temps drop outside and relative humidity needs to lower to avoid...

    Waning Demand?

Interesting thing. I have a friend who has a dealership and he told me that they are making more money than ever and NOT up-charging over MSRP like some dealerships are. They are simply getting Sticker price which they usually don't get and aren't paying any interest on vehicles sitting on...

Does Anybody have the real story on Cell coverage in Northern WI and the Yoop?

Does data effect the cell signal for making a call? Maybe I'm not informed enough but I thought 3G, 4G and 5G were all about data??

    Waning Demand?

I've noticed auto dealerships starting to gain inventory steadily. I am seeing some "market adjustments" being dropped on vehicles as well. That's a sign of inventory increases. I have a project next year and was told water treatment system was about 12-14 months out and so I ordered last...

Does Anybody have the real story on Cell coverage in Northern WI and the Yoop?

exactly my experience around Florence. Most in my family has experienced the same thing. In fact some moved form AT&T to verizon for better coverage and now it's back to where it was when they were on AT&T. I tried calling verizon to report and they couldn't get it through their thick skull I...

    What's New with You?

Yes. I can share some interesting ideas on center shock with you both at our lunch. My guy likes almost zero preload on that shock. That goes against most if not all the manufacturers but the results are impressive when he sets up the sled the way he thinks is best. Noticeable difference.

Until you need it in case of emergency. Been there done that. We can always turn it off but it’s nice to have it if necessary.

    What's New with You?

I follow the instructions except for changing limiter strap. I bring my sleds to a guy who specializes in suspension setup and let him set the strap where he needs to in order to get the desired settings. So strap is set for suspension purposes and not necessarily for snow trackers. Main thing...

Does Anybody have the real story on Cell coverage in Northern WI and the Yoop?

I was with Verizon due to their better coverage. I have seen it get much worse in the last couple years. It might be limited to my immediate area but myself and the rest of my relatives in the same area have all seen the same thing. Was better 5-10 years ago. Not sure what happened. I even...
