    Chevy 6.2L questions

Both. I’m getting .5-1 mpg better towing, and 1.5-2 mpg better on all around daily driving. That can very well be attributed to the 10 speed transmission, and not having the Max tow package axle gear ratio though.

    Chevy 6.2L questions

My 1st year 2011 I ditched with 130k and literally did nothing but put gas in it. My 2015, which I traded in with 80k, I had turbo cooler line fittings leak on both sides, manifold warp and busted studs in the head, opposite side manifold not far behind, bad throttle body, and a vibration that I...

    Where's all the sleds

My trail sleds get 10-12 mpg, I have to fill 2 of them, and usually have to chase snow with my pickup. I’ve made 3 trips north so far this winter totaling 950 miles, and I get about 13mpg towing, which comes out to about an additional $150, $50 extra per trip just in the truck, and we haven’t...

    Chevy 6.2L questions

Bought a new 21 F150 w/V8 5.0 a couple months ago. Owned a 11 ecoboost and 15 ecoboost w/3.5s before that. In my research to buy the new one, I found out the compression ratio on the V8 is much higher than the ecoboost, and Ford says to run 87 in the 5.0, therefore making it unnecessary in my...

    Where's all the sleds

Glad you said it, so I didn’t have to! Not to mention it’s pretty damn tough to get up there and ride with premium fuel at $4. Let’s go Brandon!

Groomer or Grooming issue north of Mosquito

I own both types of sleds. An average day on the trails for me is anywhere from 75-150 miles riding across multiple different clubs trails that awesome volunteers chose to groom. Now, An average day on my mountain sled in the UP consists of me parking as close as I can to my intended riding...

Groomer or Grooming issue north of Mosquito

Was trying to lighten the mood… 100% identical driving characteristics, a deep lug long track will indeed cause more damage to a trail. I think we can all agree on that to a point. But to say they are the reasons trails are bumpy is not a whole lot different than saying guns kill people. Trails...

Groomer or Grooming issue north of Mosquito

I heard Biden is thinking about banning semis from the roads because they are too heavy and damage the roads and it causes the road crews to repave them too often

Polaris 600 top end power loss

Silly question but is the primary spring you put in the correct spring? I know the 15 clutching is drastically different from the 14s on indy 600s. Belt worn out? Belt deflection off (belt sunk down in secondary?)

Watersmeet Trail Report UP Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club

I tell you what guys, rode from Running Bears place in Paulding up to Greenland/Mass City and back yesterday. Everything from Paulding up to the T intersection to take 3 to Mass, or 13 to Greenland or Rockland was EXCELLENT. I would rate it an 8/10 which is fantastic for early season. 3 going...

Locked gates and no grooming north of Mohawk

Very well said. Yes I’m in a club. Yes we’ve lost trails that we can’t find solutions for. But we also don’t have an endless amount of revenue coming our way from riders all over the Midwest, some driving as far as 8 hrs to come ride. Not to mention they’re always 3+ weeks late on getting the...

    late start to snow?

November 14, 2014 in the yoop. It’s different year to year, but can usually bet on good snow watersmeet-north by Xmas. I wouldn’t panic yet though, couple of the best winters I’ve had in the 12 years riding the U.P. had slow starts, then never let up.

    trailer shopping

Probably works much better with a trail sled in which the weight is more equalized from front to back. I only have experience loading mountain sleds onto an inline, and trying to back them up a ramp, even on an inline that is low to the ground, with traction bars, is a 2-3 man job assisting to...

    trailer shopping

Just my 2 cents... nothing more painful than trying to back a sled up a ramp and ripping off your ski guides, track mats, or trying to get your sled to move in reverse in subzero weather, etc... when I had my 7x23 I drove all the sleds in from the front ramp facing back. Made it easy to take off...
