    Tough Sledding at Ski Doo

Just as the SDI fueled engines compared to the DI Etec. The DI Etec has stellar, precise, spot on fuel delivery which gives it the excellent MPG's. However the 600R gets 1 to 2 MPG's less than does the original 600 Etec. Such as more power, more fuel used?

    Tough Sledding at Ski Doo

All Doo 600 SDI's, 600 Etec's, and the 600R's all have phenomenal reliability. If you are worried about the iso flex bearings, get the Fett Bros kit.

    Retirement Scenario

dfattack you are spot on with your Generational Heritage in my book! My grandfather taught me that it really means something! Kathe and I own our family Homestead farm from the early 1800"s. Never none family owned 200 years.

Big thanks to all you JD'ers! Yeah, well, another year has gone past, and I'm very blessed, and thankful to still be on the right side of the sod, eh!? ;) However, my birthday wish is that I will be able to ride once again this coming snow season! And be able to do so with my grandchildren! :)

    The Last of the Yamaha's

Whoa 60K just to get your teeth in shape? You talking Implants? My heart surgeon wouldn't touch me for open heart surgery until I had all top teeth extracted. My valve destruction was due to infection, but not from my teeth. The oral surgeon I used said that is the case a lot of times now days...

    The Last of the Yamaha's

I hear you rev. I'm dealing with a bad shoulder and I'm trying to avoid Rotator surgery. Getting by with shots for now, but I'm not sure about being able to ride. My Orthro surgeon understands and suggested going to therapy specializing for that purpose of being able to avoid surgery. We'll see.

    The Last of the Yamaha's

dfattack, perhaps you were one of those who still wanted to believe that someday there would be another Pure Yamaha? There were many like that in my estimation.

    The Last of the Yamaha's

Yup, you got it dfattack. Sadly, "would have been, could have been"? "Could have", wasn't to be. However, we could see this end coming long, long ago, when Yami quit bringing out new model sleds. Then, a slow, prolonged sad death to those who still believed.

Winter Storm Warning for 3/24 and 3/25 Northern Wisconsin

dfattack seems as "cyclone" is the term used with a large scale circulation pattern of a low pressure storm system? Nothing new other than it's not used all that much. However recently we were watching a show on adverse weather, and perhaps it will become more common? I've had enough high wind...

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

The Mountain Meadows cabins are small, and confined but that's part of the deal. Nice place to base out of. We go to ride, where ever we are, not laying back in a cabin, or room during riding hours. I can't believe what a absolute terrible snow season Ontario experienced this year. It...

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Yep, get all that, and thanks Hoosier! Live, and learn! We some years back spent quite a bit of time out there at West Yellow Stone, Island Park, and up above Laramie in the Snowies, where a friends, friend rented cabins called Mountain Meadows. I can't believe the difference in clutching just...

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

What size engine is in your Cat Hoosier? I was not a ware there were adjustable weights available for 600 size engines that would range from flatland elevation all the way up to 8K to 10K? Usually the ramps effect that much change also? I don't mean to be nosy, but curious what source you got...
