According to the Almanac, they are predicting (not forecasting) another below average snowfall season for the Upper Midwest with Mild & Dry conditions. I don't see it being as far below average as last year, as such, the upcoming winter should certainly be an improvement from the abysmal season...

Trail 124 currently shows as being open on the Keweenaw ATV club trail map which is current to the best of my knowledge. That does not mean that it will remain that way as logging operations can influence trail operations up here at any time. Hopefully it will continue to stay open.

Looks like the rest of the month & the first week of Oct look to be above average not to mention dry. This morning temp was 45, that's a first in quite a while & no sign of frost in the near future.

For this late in September, there are very few colors popping. It's been an extended summer here with the day time temps consistently in the 80's & nights in the upper 50's lower 60's. There are a handful of trees that have some color in them & some that have just shed their leaves due to stress...
