    Feb 23 Snow

3-4" here in MW this morning, it is sugar snow, which will blow off the trails quickly, hopefully we get the 4-6" more that they are predicting today. It would be nice if the groomers could get out tonight which they will to set the trails up. If you want to ride we have the snow as we have...

    Vilas County this weekend

In my opinion the trails will be icy, especially in the corners, just hope everyone is careful and no accidents this weekend.

    Feb 22 snow

I I've been back a few days and haven't fallen yet which is pretty good. I ordered ice cleats for both me and my wife last night because when it starts melting it becomes ice season up here and it thaws and freezes every night.

    2024 Ski - Doo

Thanks for the info Attack, mine is a 2017 REV XS, has all 3 modes, I do run 87 Octane when I do a high mileage week and can burn through each tank and did not notice any difference in acceleration, I typically ride in Standard, but Sport really has some power to it. ECO when I'm riding with...

    Feb 22 snow

1" new snow in MW this morning, 11 degrees and windy, last two days total around 4-5" new snow, looks clean and white again even in town. Tonights snow supposed to start cranking up around 6pm, even if we get 6" we should be back in pretty good shape up here but trails will still be icy after...

Tomahawk to clam lake by snowmobile

I agree with Indy. In most conditions you will only average 25mph as we have found pretty reliable in the years we have been riding and that is with one stop for lunch that actually adds an hour. Only time we have averaged better was in the UP on their autobahn like trails:p

W Well, from what all the weather reports say we will get blasted with anywhere from 12-24" by the end of the day Thursday, so no worries, everyone will be happy again! Damn, I love a good snowstorm!

    Tomahawk update 2-15-23

Some things just work out right. It was a warm relaxing week, my wife needed it more than I did but I have to admit it was pretty nice.

    Tomahawk update 2-15-23

I agree with Attackman but think we need 6"+, We got back this afternoon and things looked pretty sad from Tomahawk through Minocqua, and all the way home to MW. Those were views from the truck as we came north, the woods trails I think are still good but it's hard pack ice snow. Sun burning...

    How’s this for you guys

Glad your wife to be is OK, hope she gets back and rides it like she owns it. My daughter rolled a Yamaha V-Max that I had bought for her to ride the first trip we took and did a little damage but she was ok as well, I told her, "You're not a snowmobiler unless you roll your sled at least once"...

Pine Lake Lodge Mission Helmet swapped out and taken

I agree, I think most good snowmobilers don't drink until they get back within a few miles of their lodging or home. When I was young I stopped at every bar with the guys we rode with and we had a few, I think back on those days and I am thankful nothing bad happened to us or any riders that...

John Deere 828 2 stage walk behind, Ariens 8hp 2 stage 26", both electric start. Up here you really need two if one goes down. The Ariens is probably 30+ years old but just saws through any type of snow. The JD 828 is better in dry snow. I do two very long driveways and if we have 10-12"+ of...
