    Amber Alert!

Nah........ Not with Justin Fields and crew. That Thursday night game was right up there with the Packer game. The Bears always make it interesting though.I feel your pain as my son in law is a Bears fan, just loves them.

    Milwaukee Snowmobile USA Show

News from my old club in Waukesha stated that they only used 1/3 of the space they used to and the County only asked that 2 people man the booth to sell tickets. Polaris was the only Manufacturer that attended. I think it has lost it's appeal.

    Something positive!

We left Manitowish this morning for Naperville and it snowed all the way to Wausau. Looked like about an inch on the ground just south of Minocqua. I still have the boat in for some fishing yet, it can snow all it wants after 11/1, thats when boat comes out of the water.

When It's Time to say Goodbye

I know one thing, never just drop off your dog to be put down. They know what is happening and they know when you are by their side until they take their breath. It's very hard but they appreciate not being alone as they leave you.

When It's Time to say Goodbye

Had to put down my Golden a few years ago, he was 13, cancer, finally stopped eating and it was time, we were devastated. Have a new little gal in our lives now, a Golden/Collie mix rescue. We think she is now 9 years old and she is showing signs of leg issues, falling, hard time on steps, I...

    Air-bnb question

You could open an airbnb account. It would probably confirm your reservation. If you don't want to deal with that then definetly contact them for a confirmation, I never like surprises with not getting a confirmation. Hope it works out for you.

    Electric vehicle

I totally agree with you on your view of us older people over 50. But is it wrong if I want a V8 Chevy Tahoe instead of a EV that I don't quite trust to get me from point A to point B in the Northwoods? I love technology but I typically don't embrace it right away because there will be bugs to...

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

We used to hang at Cisco Lake Bar a lot back then when Bud owned it. He passed away probably 15 years ago and it was sold prior to. I would stop back in just to see the place again. I remember the small store up on Thousand Island as well. If you really want a place up there you should look next...

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

We used to frequent the Cisco Chain back in the 70'/80's and it was awesome. It's a little isolated, not as developed, and I think there is only place left that serves food and that is Bents Camp. It's quite a but larger than it used to be back in the day and a nice place to stop by boat or...

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

It was hard to see it before it burned down, trees and bushes were really overgrown. That is a little odd that it wasn't sold for the land value and something new built on it though. I need to get back up there and spend a day on the Cisco Chain, we really did very well fishing walleyes baack...

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

I can't remember back that far as to a pool table but the house was very old and designed for that time with the kitchen and butlers pantry. I do remember the basement as I think it was a walkout and that terrace overlooking West Bay Lake was all stone and it sat high above the lake with awesome...

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

Yes, we always had about 12-14 of us on the pontoon and every year we cruised the Cisco Chain. Summerwind, we called it the "Haunted House" was always a stop and by the time we got there we were well into a few coolers of cold ones. Remember, we were in our early 20's, but we would walk through...

    Canada Fishing is Back

Nice catch Ski Roule, he is well fed. Give you credit for being out in weather like that. That front blew into our neck of the woods during the day today, currently 38 and blowing pretty good. Walleye fishing was good last night but I'll let it warm up for a couple days before heading out again...

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

Thanks for sharing, I have some photgraphs but when we moved up here lots of stuff still in boxes. 1981 was 40 years ago for me and I was 25 years old at the time. We may have been there before 1981. What year did it burn down?
