I think this news was everywhere, nonetheless, sad situation. He was quite the daredevil. I'm pretty sure he has raced the Superior Road Rally here in the Keweenaw, in the past formerly known as the POR: "Press On Regardless" pro rally. He went too soon & went doing what he liked. May he RIP.

The Keweenaw........

We have a Winter Storm Warning for today (12-22) & a Blizzard Warning for Fri 23rd & Sat 24th. We are going to have it rough here for a few days. Looks like well over 30" in the next 3 days.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from 7p tonight to 7a Thurs, then a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Sun. Light snow at the moment & a balmy +10f. The Calm before the storm perhaps? All I can say is it was nice to have a break today as yesterday the snow needed to be moved...

Here in the banana belt of the Keweenaw, we received 3" over night, more up in the Calumet area of course & a little nippy this morning with a temp of +6f. Suppose to be calm through the day today, then the snow gates are suppose to start to open. It's going to be interesting for the next few days.
