    December 1 Ride in Keweenaw

Rode 2 days, slept in the trailer 2 nights. Lets just say I was glad to get back to a real bed and a furnace that worked all night long. Long story short, the propane heater I had would only run for an hour or two before shutting down I had an old 1300 watt electric one that we had taken with...

    December 1 Ride in Keweenaw

Same thing happened two years ago, no one had posted anything and while my pictures well be nothing special, I couldn't pass up posting the first thread in this section. Too bad I didn't really take the time to shoot more or worked at getting better ones. Oh well, someone had to start the ball...

    Trailer Camping Spot

Got a spot so we'll see how it works out. Loaded up this afternoon and heading out in the morning. No TV, but mini fridge, radio, coffee maker, Mr Buddy LP heater, cot, table, chairs and carpet squares for the floor. Who knows, if it work out this time I may be able to do this more often.

    tie downs

Realize you may be talking about clam shells here with all the dialogue about clamps, but this is what I did when I finished off my inline this past summer. E-track on the walls, then a ratchet strap to the sled. Just grabbed some old straps sitting around the garage for now, stopping at the...

    Another Boot Thread

I know there have been a couple of these in the past month, but I'm trying to compare 2 specific boots so if you have some experience with either of them it would be great to hear about it. They both have some type of Black Friday deal going so I plan to order a pair of one of them before the...

    The last seven months

Some of you know I'm a project manager for a substance abuse, mental health organization. About one year ago we had the opportunity to sell one of our main buildings in an area of town that we wanted to move out of. The problem was we didn't have a place to move the 100 employees that see...

    New Sled Lift

As I posted in a thread about the Milwaukee show, I planed to buy a lift when I went to the show but my wife came with and gave me the "you don't need one of those" looks. Well I still looked at them when I was there and really liked the ones made by a guy named Joe Wipperfurth who started a...

    Bridge Mat

I know this has been a topic probably every year about if you can ride across without or not, but wondering if there is a "regular" date they put it down? Any ideas if it will be in place for opening day or is it usually later than that?

    Trailer Camping Spot

Trying to figure out a way to make a few more trips this year either solo, or with my son. Really thinking of camping in the trailer now that it's finished inside. I have a propane heater and the trailer is insulated and wired so it would be a cheap way to spend a weekend riding. Anyone know...

    Riding after broken ribs

Not to turn this thread into a different direction but yesterday I went to clean the car out and I took a few photos. I had 6 people tell me he was lucky to be alive. Thing was, he didn't have his seat belt on and they all say that saved him. He was thrown out of the drivers seat before his...

    Riding after broken ribs

So how long does it take to recover from broken ribs and be able to ride? Once again, I got that phone call that my son was in a car accident, this time though it was a lot worse and along with some internal damage (punctured and collapsed lung, torn spleen, concussion, and other internal...

    Milwaukee Snow Show, Who's Going?

So who's going when? I had planned on Saturday but now my son informed me he is heading to Chicago for the weekend and is bailing on me. To bad, he was in line to get new boots, guess that means I'm in the market for something I hadn't planned on :). Now I may end up going Friday night...

    Powder Coating Spindles and A-Arms

I've been thinking about powder coating these parts, plus the other misc things up front on my 07 f8. I've changed out all the grey plastic in the past couple years and the only grey left is on the front suspension/steering. I'm thinking of changes the springs out to orange, and everything...

    Cheap Gas????

NEW YORK (AP) — The price of a gallon of gasoline may soon start with a "2'' across much the country. Gasoline prices typically decline in autumn, and this year they are being pulled even lower by falling global oil prices. By the end of the year, up to 30 states could have an average gasoline...

    Sept 20th Weekend

So it seems like there is a lot going on this weekend: the Keweenaw Trail Services Bridge Building, the Superior Trail Services Trail Clean-up, not to mention the Mosquito "Best Neighborhood Bar in Michigan" contest judges visiting the Bug Bar on Saturday. We're all set and ready to come up but...
