    Thawing out a sled?

This whole thread seems complicated. If its that bad of a problem, at the end of the day just take your hands and pull the snow out of the skid. Seriously how long could that take, 5 min tops? No heater, no trailer, no worries. Frozen ice build up, rubber mallet. Now maybe 7 min in it all?

    Thawing out a sled?

I have done it with a torpedo as well, and its pretty quick. I have also seen dealerships when they have to work on a skid frame, use a hose to rinse off the ice and snow. don't know that you have access to running water, but it worked pretty good for them. This was in Calumet many years ago.

    To Scratch Or Not?

They tuck back on the rail when not in use. I have had them for a long long time. I don't always have perfect conditions when I ride, and most likely never will. I do a lot of overnight out of town trips, and conditions change quickly. Everyone has their opinion on them, for me they work just...

Does Anybody have the real story on Cell coverage in Northern WI and the Yoop?

At&t was awarded the contract for first responders, so I changed from Verizon and for the Mercer area its really good. I am not sure how the U.P. is, but will find out this winter. Verizon was great up until a couple years ago for me?

    Gifts or perks for landowners

Lots of great ideas on keeping the land owners happy! for the ones who don't realize it, they are letting us use their land 24 hrs a day, and basically getting a fresh pie or gift card. Which when you think about it, isn't even a tank of fuel in todays world. So next time you feel the urge to...

    Gifts or perks for landowners

With the current loss of trail #2 in Michigan, and two or maybe even three in Mercer. My question is what do most of the clubs or the state offer up to landowners who allow all of us use of the trail on their property? I know my area, they usually do a dinner at the end of season for the owners...

    Electric vehicle

Think about this for a second. The government wants all electric, and how excited were they to find out the #1 pick up manufacture now has an all electric pick up. But it doesn't do what we buy pick ups to do? Simple term for that FAKE NEWS. Sorry but I personally will not accept what they are...

    Electric vehicle

This is a truck, that cant do truck things. Towing is most likely the one thing all pick up truck owners do with a truck, and this one fails completely at that task. Sorry but not even close to what pick up truck owners expect to do with their truck. This is not an acceptable trade off for many.

For the ones who don't want to be part of a club, I think you should at least join for one year, and if not attend meetings at least read the minutes from the meetings. You will be enlightened on how much work a club does all season long. So if you think your trail permit money covers your use...

    Well, it is here ...

I am happy that they have shown a model of their new platform. Very long overdue, and still not ready, but glad they have shown something. Lots of positive from what I can see, and they are doing their marketing by not telling much more than that. No specs, or under the hood to talk about. Time...

Rising fuel costs hinder planned trips?

no...just more planned meals at the cabin rather than eating out all the time.
