    More Trespassing Issues, Tomahawk Area

I hated even posting anything...because it gives our sport a black eye, and honestly the people who hate snowmobiling (and there are more and more of them moving up north every year),like to just use info like this against us..make no mistake, they troll facebook, and sites like this to look...

AND ANOTHER ONE.... TRESPASSING REPORTED: The trail along Spring Creek Rd & Mountain Rd runs along the side of the road. Do not go into the adjacent field as you are trespassing! A group of 7 sleds road across the field on Dec 31st. If you observe snowmobilers trespassing, please get their...

    More Trespassing Issues, Tomahawk Area

NORTHWOODS PASSAGE TRAIL...near Tomahawk... This trail is closed and has been rerouted. Signs and roping have been put up. Riders went around the barrels and tore down the roping. On Sunset Point Road someone also tore down the roping and opened a closed gate. This is totally irresponsible and...

    Tomahawk area Update 12/30/22

Finally some good news... The temp dropped all day...its 21 currently...and things are freezing up a bit...AND there is now a chance of a little light snow Saturday night with temps not quite as warm as they had predicted earlier this week .....ALSO...they have updated the forecast...now saying...

    Tomahawk area Update 12/30/22

They have more snow that way, than we do...the rain and melt down did hurt....however I think the main reason they were cancelling reservations is the lakes up there are not safe, and will not be marked before the new years....not having the lakes marked is very dangerous for people who aren't...

    Tomahawk area Update 12/30/22

Nothing Good to report...unfortunately...it rained hard last night...the lakes (even the ones that were marked) are now slushy and wet...we also lost quite a bit of snow cover with the warm weather, and rain.....the trails are very soft, and will not hold up with the heavy traffic that continues...

    Oneida County Wisconsin opener

Clubs have been out panning trails, and most of the area lakes in the Tomahawk area are now marked (Nokomis, Alice)...they will be marking Mohawksin, and Spirit, hopefully this week...trails are soft with the warm temps, and there is very heavy traffic...trails are taking a beating, but seem to...

    Oneida County Wisconsin opener

Such a shame...if we get that rain at the end of the week...it will ruin the trails...we finally have a decent base, to open a season, ..it's a bit slushy on the lakes...but we were hoping to get some of them marked..honestly the trails are beautiful right now...the best they have been in...

    Oneida County Wisconsin opener

BTW...I've never seen Oneida open before Vilas (Vilas is NOT open at the time of this writing) in my 30 plus years of living up here

    Oneida County Wisconsin opener

Like they said....USE CAUTION...I was out brushing, knocking ice off tree limbs, cutting trees and packing trails this past weekend (including packing a swamp off the 17 trail)...and there are still some rough areas out there....many of the lakes are NOT safe, and lots of slush on Nokomis (which...

Pre Season check in (Tomahawk area trails)12-6-22

Not much for snow here, a dusting to an inch in Town, and around 2 inches out towards Nokomis. But that's good, as we don't need heavy snow while we are making ice....Nokomis is mostly frozen over, and some of the shallow bays have 6 plus inches of ice...other areas on the Lake are reporting...

    2023 Yamaha Snowmobiles?

That's just a sad offering by Cat /Yamaha....nothing new...nothing exciting...feel bad for their dealers/customer's....this is not good for our sport in general.....I love the cat apologists who say "this chassis works", and "they redesigned it in 2018", "Totally different"...apparently taller...

    2023 Yamaha Snowmobiles?

True...but neither Polaris or Doo stood still..they brought new models to give their loyal customer's something to be excited about...the unfortunate thing is we are completely sold out (can't get anymore for next year), and it's not even the end of march, and we are done..if we could have...

    2023 Yamaha Snowmobiles?

NO...the viper motor is a 1050 "triple" four stroke....I highly doubt you will ever see another triple two stroke....and cat did not release the new 900..so I'm guess next year before anything earth shattering from either cat or yamaha...both have been very tight lipped and honestly are being...

    It isn't over yet....3/14

Twice if not 3 times the amount of snow up there...might be able to ride up there for a couple weeks...depending on weather....but we are rapidily deteriorating here
