    Tomahawk Area 1/16/23

Trails were actually very good this weekend, even with the heavy traffic, and warm temperatures. The Hiawatha is in fair to poor condition, with lots of snirt, and bumps from Highway 8 to Hwy K, and in very rough shape in the rock garden. However...8E, 8W, 51C, 47, and 49, were GOOD to Very...

    Tomahawk area Update 1-12-23

Even with the warm weather/ light rain, and lack of decent snowfall....the trails have been holding up well....Lakes have a little slush in spots, and are a bit rough (nothing 3 to 6 inches of snow won't fix)...we have a good base...just need some cooler weather and a bit more snow I took a 70...

    To Scratch Or Not?

I don't have that imaginary scenario...lol...I moved here (to the northwoods) 33 years ago...exactly for that reason...I can ride right out of my yard, anyday, anytime...through the years I have rarely had my sled on the trailer (in fact I don't currently own one)..if conditions suck...I simply...

    To Scratch Or Not?

The truth is...if you need scratchers, then you are riding on or in very poor conditions (ICY/ low snow, road running etc) ...Do they work?...YES..Will I ever buy them or put them on a sled...NO...I will not ride in conditions that will damage my machine, and I avoid running roads at all costs...

    BRP Exome Radiant Helmet

People seem to like them so far....If you are a fan of the BVS2/ and or a Mod 3...you will probably like this helmet...I am not a fan of either...HATE the face diaper/snot catchers (I find that gross AF)....which the Exome also uses...I also feel the face mask is too restrictive...not my cup of...

    Tomahawk Area update 1/6/22

Even though we didn't get the heavy snow that areas to the west, and northwest of us got...the trails look pretty good...we received some sleet, freezing rain and snow (about 2 inches in the Nokomis area)...it helped to freshen things up after the heavy traffic from last weekend...and now we...

    ONEIDA COUNTY UPDATE 1/3/23

Yep...saw anywhere from 6 to 10 inches across mainly northern Price County (Phillips and North)...the cutoff is sharp though...Prentice only had 2-3 inches (which is what...15 minutes south of Phillips?)......areas to the east and south of a Phillips to Mercer line saw less snow...My mother's...
