    Weather propagandist

I think John Kerry did great work. It's not easy to fly around the world in style and eat catered meals while simultaneously saving us from climate change.

    Beware of Walmart Prices!

I love the Walmart generic peanut butter....I think it's made by ConAgra, who also makes Peter Pan. Does Aldi sell Peter Pan?

    Weather propagandist

Once they started naming snowstorms, I began to believe that it was to convince people to understand how out of the norm it was to have "bad weather." Maybe it is even to generate a little fear in people?

Your last two sentences are spot on, IMO.

I remember reading about this a while back. I'm not a fan of the idea but I'm still curious to see how it shakes out.

I've been saving my pennies so I can buy my next car with cash. If there's a relatively "cheap" electric car available in 4-5 years, I suspect I'll buy it. If not, a hybrid might be an option.

    It's a Walmart thing....

Regarding the theft, that's really frustrating for me. I was at a CVS in Denver in May and some guy with a handful of stuff just walked out of the store in front of us and the manager. I told the manager that the guy didn't pay and the manager simply said it happens all the time. He also said...

    It's a Walmart thing....

I love the self checkout at Walmart and use it exclusively. However, I have never had my receipt checked upon exiting the store. I wonder what the requirement are for having a receipt-checker at the door?

Goin-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park (Montana) to not be fully open by July 4 because of heavy snows.

That would be pretty cool. I remember taking a scenic chairlift ride on Mt. Hood in Oregon in late June and waiting in the lift line with skiers. (They typically ski through Labor Day.) It's a very weird, but cool, experience.

    Propane this year

Thanks for your post, which served as a great reminder. I just check in with Ferrellgas and was quoted $2.49 (leased tank in Bayfield County, WI).

$4.69 here in northern MN. I don't like to get into politics, but I believe that the Democrat party has done a very good job (with mainstream media support, perhaps) of convincing many people that anyone with an R after their name is a racist, xenophobe, misogynist, etc. I am close friends...

    Copper Peak Hill Climb

My wife and I went up to the very top of the jump back in 2020. It was a fairly windy day and it was rocking back and forth. The steps to the top are an open-grate metal, so you can see all the way to the ground. I was a bit nervous and had my fill, that's for sure. We got to walk down the...

    April Riding MN

Pretty amazing pics. I saw that the Lutsen ski resort was open until last Sunday (May 1). I seem to recall a story from John (?) about riding in the Keweenaw in June. Am I remembering that correctly???

About 6" here in Duluth. 13" up the shore in Silver Bay. Yes, I think ice out might be a bit later than normal this year?

15.5" in Grand Portage, MN (I also heard a report of 24" in the area on the news). Not sure if the trails up that way are still open.
