Last year my wife and I had to travel to find good rideable snow, we ended up parking and dropping in a park and ride as a suggestion from a gas station owner, my question is, just in case I may have to do the same again this year, is it legal to do so?

out of all the threats of the coming snow next week, I am more interested in all the talk about the "cold arctic air" if....and IF that happens it could turn on the LES snow machine. the potential storms sound nice but the cold arctic air sounds even better.

Got lost on Gogebic once with the wife, was snowing and sleeting so heavy, helmet shields were icing up, had to have shields up and shield eyes best we could with hands, couldn't go more than 10 mph, couldn't see the flashing lights on shore line & hugging shore too dangerous especially on east...

Oh yeah! at least it gives us hope and shows potential! instead of dwelling on the negative!

take your pick, they all say something different and changes from minute to minute, have seen storms predicted only to fizzle out right up to the day before. I rely on snow for business 3 months out of the year, I've given up on basing my business plans based on weather or seasonal predictions...

Bullitt69! I'm with you focusing on the potential positive!!! As much as this weather is affecting me and my business I am hoping it goes North!! I have reservations for the week of the 15th and the 22nd, not giving up hope yet, not dwelling on the negative, Thanks for posting some positive hope!!

plus and I hope it plays out this way for businesses up north, I think its important to book now if you can any alternates as once snow does arrive, places to stay will be at a premium as far as availability goes and don't want to be stuck without a place to stay when it does come

Haven't canceled anything yet but did book my first alternate dates for January this morning if first ride ends up being scratched. Talks of some weather changes coming, hoping they pan out!
