That looks precisely like fertilizer burn to me. I got 1 spot my backyard that looks like that right now, luckily it’s only 10”x15”. On a side note, I’m a pretty big lawn nut and the 10-10-10 fertilizer I put down about 15ish days ago is doing work!!
