Here is Midwest weathers post yesterday afternoon. The GFS last night had the southeastern portion of WI getting hit good, and this morning the GFS model pushed it even farther south. Still 5 days out, a lot can happen.

The bullseye on most models right now is showing WI/IL border, but this looks like a pretty large event at this point! Totals on most models are pretty large, let’s just hope it pushes north!

Boulder junction trip planned Jan 18-21 is not looking hopeful, hoping there will be lake effect snow somewhere by then to chase after.

They have snow, it’s just not very good out there right now, most of the Rocky Mountains are a good month behind in snowpack. The only places with good snow right now on this continent are Alaska and B.C.

It’s Christmas guys! I would say Merry Christmas but it sure doesn’t feel very merry with this weather :(

Yep, I got a trip planned to Boulder junction the 18th and am definitely skeptical at this point. Might have to dig deeper into the lake effect snow belt areas at that time.

This!!! Honestly I’ve lost track of some of the awesome places I’ve been over the last 15 years. The only time I’ve been to Henry’s in Rockland, the town was out of water so they had a limited menu. I definitely need to go back.
