    Winter Tires

I will say as for towing haven’t tried, but put blizzak tires on the wifes suv ( Chevy blazer) which had big racey type tires on it when I put the blizzak’s on it truly transformed the handling of it they seem to stick way better and that things handles better than my trucks have with many...

Ironwood to Copper Harbor - Jan 2024

This statement is not completely accurate, yes as of now the reroute hasn’t been finalized but unless the town of Wakefield has outlawed snowmobiling all together you can legally ride streets and long as the are not highways (county or state) in Gogebic county they might be plowed but can be ridden.

Updated on trail 8 between Kenton and Sidnaw?

I have a confirmed report that trail 8 is fixed and will be open for season between Kenton and Sidnaw. Also was told that they just got done finishing the bridge on trail 15 so it should be open this year. I going to get complete confirmation on that today if possible.

Wakefield access in question this winter.

You will from the east, but no marked trail from west. With that said you can all roads in Gogebic county except state and county highways. So the way the trail ran last year along the road you can still legally run. Wakefield board is the problem now for the most part.

Sorry for the slight hijack or your thread now back to your posting hopefully. I’m impressed with your restoration work and still have time to work around camp and go fishing. I haven’t been out fishing in over a month.

    Mercer WI area info

Tuck, you will be able to write your own check when it comes to work in the northwoods if you want. Have a friend that has people giving him 10k just to hold a place in line 2 years out and then sign a time and materials contract. Crazy the money some can spend. And the handyman work is endless...

And the hole in the ozone layer is all healed up now, do we remember when that was a thing. Haven’t heard anything about that in years so I guess we as a society did something right for a while. And which administration will take credit for that!

Trail 2 Closing for 23/24 season?

From what I’ve heard, some people had issue with the reroute on the edge of the road. Then last year they had a lot of snow especially early in the season so plowing the road and trying to have an area to groom became a challenge which had people complaining.

    It Must Be Getting Close

Started framing an addition in October 2020 and had to shovel the roof 3 or 4 just to get the ice and water shield down, though at least roof sealed. First week of November it was 70 and shingled the whole roof in 4 days. So anything can happen this time of year.
