    Trail signs - Poor examples

I like your optimism and I see things the same way. I'll have kids in the house for about 6 more years and then assuming it's still legal to own your own vehicles and the planet didn't burn up I plan to be riding a lot more then and hopefully help out more then too. But I'm not in a hurry to get...

    It’s now the BIG 18!

I was telling my teenager, who is a huge basketball fan, of what the big ten used to be - 10 teams, everyone plays each other twice, home and away, and how it was must see tv. But I realized I started to sound like an old man. College sports, at least at the D1 level for bball and football, are...

    What is going on

I think for cars it's hard to have a 1 size fits all advice. At the start of this year both our cars had 200K+ on them. Neither one gave us any real headaches but the wear and tear is starting to show. Depreciation is less every year but the risk of repairs increase each year too. Bought my wife...

    What is going on

I've always been of the mindset of buy something, take good care of it and then drive it till the wheels fall off, but with toys at least I'm starting to think you're better off being flexible and ready to go when there are deals out there. That's a big discount.

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Thanks for input. I didn't see any cracks in anything. Sounds like it will be $200-250 to get it rebuilt + parts. Country Cat has the ADAPT for about $400. I've have to get new weights and pins etc for that but it seems like I may need them for the team clutch anyway, and those parts cost a bit...

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Following up on this - I took the cover off the primary a couple days ago. I didn't have the right torx for the secondary but I'll do that soon. My goal was to clean and inspect and if everything looks ok, change the springs and move on. If I noticed issues I'm not sure it's cost effective to...

family activities in UP in July

Thanks for your input and others too. My wife grew up in the area of the Indiana Dunes so that was on my list to take the kids there at some point. We ended up making different plans and won't be going to the UP, but I'll save the all the ideas on here for next summer.

family activities in UP in July

I was thinking of looking into things to do with the family for a week towards the end of July. Maybe we're too late to plan some things but I thought I'd ask on here for some ideas. We live in central Indiana and have relatives we could visit during part of it in Eagle River WI. Was thinking...

    Dollar General

Agreed. It's a double-edged sword for sure. Consumers get lower prices in the meantime, which everyone needs especially these days, but nearly all that money leaves the community.

    Holiday weekend!

I ended up going too. Was a fun day. I don't know much about racing or follow it at all but it was an exciting race at the end. And we had a great time hanging out during the rain delay with some friends we ran into.

    Best tunnel bag?

Saw country cat has it on sale for $100. I think you have to buy the linq connectors if you are putting it on a doo but still a good deal.

    Solar Eclipse

We were right in the path of it down here in Indy. Kids had e learning days and my wife and I worked at home so we enjoyed it. My younger son has been hyped on it for months. My older son who couldn't care less about it beforehand thought it was really cool too. Kind of amazing how it dark and...

    Best tunnel bag?

Not sure exactly. It's shorter than many, which will help you when you're jumping from one running board to the other while standing up riding of course.

    Best tunnel bag?

Yeah the bag I have (that is worn out now) doesn't come off and on all that easily so I don't take it off, and keep my clothes etc in a dry bag and take that out of it at the end of the day and leave everything else in it (tools, spare belt, oil, etc - all probably worth a lot more than the...
