Not looking good here.....NWS says this system for Tuesday and Wednesday is pulling further south and east, and will most likely miss northern and North Central Wisconsin (it could always change it's it track...hopefully further west...but it's looking less and less likely

I'm watching this closely too....one forecast model has this system going way south...if that happens we get nothing...the other model shows a track that is similar to a "panhandle hooker" which tracks the system from Oklahoma to Lake Michigan.....if it's that type of system we could get nailed...

In the Tomahawk (WI) area...We had 4 to 5 inches on average, before xmas....went down to 1-2 inches...and we are currently back up to 4-5 inches in the bays...slowly building back...but many lakes are not close to being safe for snowmobiling...the weather looks good to build ice the next several...

I hate to be a the grinch....and all the positive thinking is great....but facts are facts...I would hate for somebody to trailer all the way up here just to find closed trails, and mud puddles....we are expecting rain Friday, and again Xmas eve into Xmas day..(with ZERO chance of it changing to...

Just saw where they had been hacked...and had to reset everything...looks like new owners are still getting things ready and are waiting for snow

The main thing for me is that so many people plan come up between Christmas and New years....and at this point, especially if we get rain and 40 degree weather Friday...(and more rain Xmas eve, and Xmas day)....that will pretty much put a dagger in those plans...just not possible at this point

That's good news for the yoop....but it doesn't really help us here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin....our lakes are NOT safe, and unfortunately most of our trails cross lakes....we could get a dumping today, and the trails still wouldn't open, as the ice is not good yet

One of our local TV stations just posted this...and unfortunately...it means we most likely wont have trails open (or lakes marked ) until after the new year...no looking good here at all

They just updated the forecast...instead of rain changing to snow with 1-3 inches over northern Wisconsin (Friday into Saturday).....it's going to be mostly rain...with little to NO snow accumulation

AND 7 days later...nothings changed....got a little snow, started building ice..but today it's 50 degrees at 3PM, ice melting, and what little snow we have is also melting...maybe a minor shot of snow Saturday (after it rains)?? But nothing significant in the extended forecast, above average...

Yep..she's ready....just no snow or safe ice....doubtful it will move from my garage before new years (at this point)
