Whatever snow we do get is supposed to be heavy tonight. If and when they open the trails they first have to be inspected and cleared as there will be a lot of downfall if we get what they are predicting. 2" so far as of 6pm in MW area.

I agree, we now have a Winter Storm Watch for 8'+ in Vilas County. Supposed to start crank up Wednesday morning through Thursday morning. We'll see what happens on Wednesday but it does feel like snow!

In MW area they panned the trails, they are closed, and look very thin. Was talking with a guy Thursday and he said there is 6" of ice up here but we are 30 minutes north of Minocqua. We have a bout 10" of snow on the ground, perhaps more coming midweek.

Typically in Wisconsin, the Clubs meet with the County and then they decide based on the conditions reported from each club on their trails to open or not. Not sure how it's done in Michigan though.
