Yep, this is correct. Red route always was the normal trail but closed for logging, yellow is the new trail and can’t hop onto the lake from the west side. I thought I heard they rerouted trail 100 this weekend on the south side of the lake but could be wrong.

FWIW, Kendrick Lamar is the farthest thing from woke, and there’s a reason hardcore lefties are losing their minds over his performance. It’s not just the old white people who don’t like him ;)

Sorry but this one’s too funny! On a side note I’m a Kendrick Lamar fan, have been since his song humble came out a decade ago. There was a much bigger message to the performance, and I think a lot of you would’ve appreciated the performance more if you understood what it was about.

Every area in the UP that has good snow has been bottlenecked with traffic. Have to do your homework to stay off the beaten path, and also avoiding trail 8 east out of Munising is a big one. No different than trail 3 leading into Houghton. 1 main artery trail, nothing else to relieve the traffic.

Last year when southern WI got hammered we stayed in Lodi at quality inn for $70 a night. Was nice for a change, prices up north have gotten out of hand. As little as 10 years ago, every hotel in Houghton was $60-80

Took a day trip up to watersmeet and put on 135 miles! Found a mixed bag, heavily trafficked grades are really the only problem trails. Took off around 9am and went up 3 to Greenland, filled up and headed to Rousseau bar for lunch. Then continued down to sidnaw and down 107 and back. Grade...

There’s a big billboard style sign saying to take the trail. I would only utilize taking Grand Marais rd (H58) if you have to (for lodging, fuel, emergency, etc) just my 2 cents
