YES.. Lincoln/Langlade are DONE for the year...I think Oneida is holding out hope to stay open until the end of the month....but the forecast is very ugly...upper 40's to low 50's with rain Friday into Saturday, and lower 50's Sunday and Monday, with 60 possible tuesday....before it cools back...

Started snowing at 11:30 am....already about an inch...but supposed to be ending by 1:30...so we might end up with a couple of inches....snow forecast for the end of the week is going to go well south of here...so this is it for the week for us

The recent snow helped trails alot over the weekend.....we did get anywhere from 4-7 inches across a very narrow area of the Northwoods Thursday into Friday...and then it just kept snowing...we received about 2 inches of Fluff Saturday into Sunday, and another inch of fluff yesterday. Its also...

so far 5-6 inches reported in Wausau, Rhinelander to Eagle River...it's a real narrow band of heavier snow...3-4 inches Tomahawk area...but further west....and northwest...way less...it's a really fine line between who got snow and who didn't...for example portions of Price County had less than...

and it's still snowing here in Tomahawk with a good 3 to 4 inches on the ground...I was told heavier bands are occurring just to our east....so Pelican Lake should be just as good...the heavy bands were from Rhinelander north to Eagle River...they are saying an additional 2-4 here so we will...

They blew the forecast...nws, and all the local TV guys were wrong...and it's in our favor for once..it's Snowing to beat the band, and supposed to continue through noon...already approaching 2-3 inches here in nokomis, and expecting 2 to 4 more through noon...what happened was the heavier band...

Update 2-19-26...unfortunately...more bad news....storm slated for late tonight into tomorrow, is going to miss us...the heavier snow bands are now forecast to go south and east of us...we are now expecting an inch or less. (which won't do much for us) I would head for the U.P. or far northern...

Update...I had an appointment north of minocqua today...roads were awful..we had about a 1/2 inch of snow over night, and then it rained..we have a slushy mess in and around the Tomahawk area...zero help for our trails what so ever...still lightly raining as I write this...HOWEVER...from just...

UPDATE....Lincoln County to Close Zones 2,3,4 at least temporarily

As expected...conditions deteriorated over the weekend....Trails went from Excellent to Fair in 3 days....the railroad grade is Fair to Poor (worse towards town)...Heavy traffic, and warm temps did a lot of damage to the trails....wooded trails held up better, but still took a hit..the lakes are...

So far..they are holding their own (at least on the wooded trails)...lakes are ok...but it's 46 right now at noon, and bright sunshine...im going to go check some wooded trails later today.. But it's definitely deteriorating quickly...not looking good...the railroad grade is toast...just too...
