Just curious what the objective is for doing this? Obviously, it's getting more sledders to the UP, but I question the logic. Hope it's measurable. I know that I wouldn't make plans just to avoid a small trail pass cost.

What does "for the most part" mean? As whitedust stated, the WI tracker gives a delayed report. Does the UP system give real-time? Will MI adopt the GPS compensation program that WI uses?
