LaFlower should have taken the easy field goal at the end of the third to put points on the board instead of going for it when the offense was struggling. The Pack looked good in the fourth but without a little bit of luck, (missed field goal) there was a very different ending that was looming.

Got my call from Land O Lakes Recreation yesterday. New Snowmobile is in and ready to be picked up or delivered. A little relieved. When my daughter spring ordered hers a few years ago, it was delivered until late December.

100 degrees yesterday in Park Ridge IL. Supposed to hit 102 today. Plenty of rain here over the summer but I have a maple that is already somewhat red, and my oak tree has already started to drop some leaves so it's not a stress thing. Early fall coming.

I noticed the same thing in Presque Isle this week. Lake level is down about 4" and when we took a shoreline cruise around the lake my wife pointed out that the maples are starting to turn at the tops. Seems about 2 or 3 weeks earlier than normal. Hope to get the rain predicted for tomorrow...

Intentional walks at that age is so wrong. Let the kids be kids and play. I played park district baseball from the early 70s until high school. Intentional walks didn't exist. I don't remember but I don't think they were "intentionally" allowed.
