Great info from all of you on this thread but sure makes me miss Johns daily forecasts and accumulation amounts. Didn't realize how much interest I had in them and depended on him during snowmobile season until he was gone.

Am I seeing this correctly and Chicago is looking at 12-14"? Trying to plan return trip from Northwoods and I am not a fan of driving in heavy snow anymore. Riding in it is a different story.

I have the weather channel app on my phone and that is where the 10" came from yesterday morning. I checked it later in the day and it was down to 3.5" Checking it now, shows no snow but about an inch of rain. Looking at Indy's last post, maybe it is moving north where it belongs.

The good is that we are making ice in northern Wisconsin. After last weeks warm up, everything is frozen again including swamp areas that trails cross in Presque Isle and Manitowish Waters. Lake ice looks to be safe for people as several were out on my lake the last few days. Next ten days shows...

Arrived in Presque Isle yesterday at 2 PM to 46 degree temps. Trail 6 that runs along County W had open water in the swampy areas. My lake was open at the shore. It's like March mud season here. I had hope for a ride this trip, but that ride is going to be in my truck. Looked in my cabin...

I see 2-5" predicted for Presque Isle tonight. I'm trying to be positive and keep the faith. A couple of minor storm accumulations and then maybe a lake effect dumping and we could be riding by New Years Eve.

If I remember correctly, there was a golf course in Glenview or Morton Grove, Golf Road/Harms Road area that allowed snowmobiles on the property, legally. We would ride there on the bike/horse trails from the Niles area of Howard and Caldwell by Tam O Shanter golf course. That was a pretty long...

Hey Tim, I used Great American Door Company, (Dean Paris) over the summer to replace door springs and align door properly. Dean is located in Boulder Junction and a great guy. Price was very reasonable. He is the only one that responded to about four calls to find someone to do it.

I'm right there with you Gary. 59 years old and those flying monkeys still send a shiver down my back. Not real fond of that witch either. My kids love to rip on me about that but since I know their fears, that ripping is short lived.

Looks great pclark. Especially the hand! Same thing happened to me last week in Presque Isle and my hand swelled so bad my wife had to take me to Howard Young E.R. No problem breathing so no epi pen but the swell, pain and itch was incredible. Could not move my fingers or wrist for a few days...

My Grand Touring is in at LOLREC. Went on Tuesday to put more money on it and schedule delivery. Don't want it until around Thanksgiving as I still have to get the boat out of the water and tuck it away in garage. Have to rearrange toys and make room for the new sled.
