Its only December 19th. I don't think the season is "toast" as it really has not even started yet. I get it that last year sucked but the year before we were riding into mid/late March. I'm nowhere ready to give up on it anywhere in the near future.

Riders out today on Presque Isle trails. They gassed up in town and headed north so I would imagine they were headed to UP trails. Our trails look flat and rideable, (barely) but with the temperature today and tomorrow, that thin base will go to mud and ice. The roads/crossings are down to bare...

We can hope. That was the jewel of P.I. back in the 80s and 90s. So sad to drive by it every day and see it abandoned. One of the P.I. volunteer firemen has been cutting the grass for the past few years just so it didn't look like such an eyesore. Would love to see it re-open as a bar/restaurant...

I'm hearing that the Sunday Lake Auto business owner, (who is a great guy and fellow snowmobiler) had too many near misses with the throttle jockeys blasting through his lot without a care for anything, had enough. Too bad. I don't blame him when idiots create a liability for his business.
