Darren, that may just be a decorative cap, some were just chrome, some had a rubber seal in top of them you would have to remove to access grease zerk, I would be very surprised now a days if it didn't have either a bearing buddy under the cap or a grease zerk in the end of axle. That 27'...

    Recommendations for Northwoods snowmobile getaway

stayed at boondock when it was called Omers, also stayed at Parkview many a times when it was first built, it is a nice area, Boondockers really did a nice job revamping the place and has good food and right up road from Krupps and Parkview so you have your choices of eats and a place to gas...

Chaparral vs John Deere: A Build-Off Challenge

I like them both, they both really stand out in the snow that's for sure but if I had to choose one it would be the Chap, not based on looks but how advanced they were for their time in chassis and engine design. Besides getting to follow the master at his craft I really enjoy the historical...

Thank you both for your input on these and will likely be the ones I go with, no wheelies or jumps for this guy LOL. It just makes a lot of sense to me to locate them there and I am not very fond of attaching anything to the rails. Thank you again!!

" I think the writing is on the wall " here is my thought on that and I'm not directing this response at anyone in particular and I hope what I am going to say doesn't upset anyone. I also am not claiming I know what's going on behind the scenes and its not my place to assume or think that I do...

    Vansville and Cliff View bars

old school homey feeling was part of the draw of Cliff View back in the day, liked the old school feel of the place and the old and historical decor. sometimes fancy dancy can ruin a place one was used to for years. Same goes for Vansville the rustic feel was part of the draw there. Hate it when...

Chaparral vs John Deere: A Build-Off Challenge

curious... how were you able to find that shock? painstaking research on shock lengths? It also amazes me how quickly you are able to locate parts you need on these resto projects or how quickly you are able to adapt things and make them work whether its aesthetics or mechanical components.

Indy, I noticed you have ski mounted scratchers on your sled, I have been researching scratchers extensively and those have caught my eye but dont know of anyone personally who uses that style, what are your thoughts on those. Id rather not attach anything to my rear suspension and a ski mounted...

    Vansville and Cliff View bars

I thought someone had bought and was revamping Vansville, did that not happen or still happening? I can remember Cliff View back in the day, had the big I believe it was a golden lab or something along those lines and the lady had a home made carrot relish she would bring out, was delicious. One...
