    Vilas and oneida

We got out today. Took off from St.Germain to Boulder,Presque Isle,MW,Arbor Vitae back to St Germain. St Germain and Arbor Vitae are thin but solid trail base so you don't hit anything under the snow. Boulder and Presque Isle not bad. MW a little rougher but not terrible. Some of the trails are...

Dane County 100% OPEN as of Noon 12/10/25

Wow excellent great start to your season. Hopefully after we get past the warm up winter will come roaring back. The next 2 weeks don't look good overall.

    Manitowish Waters

That's the article I saw too. Definitely a big change from how they have been doing it. Time will tell how this works out. Still seems like maybe doing 2 zones would cause less confusion on what trails you can ride.

    Manitowish Waters

Well RPH you may be on to something. I just read an article saying exactly what you said. It said that a trail system next to them has to be open too. So if Michigan is open then Presque Isle and land o could open. Once they open then Boulder could and so on. Sounds like a different way of doing...

    Manitowish Waters

Interesting RPH on Vilas being able to just open certain sections. That's the 1st I have personally heard of that maybe happening. I was brushing in Saturday and the club never mentioned it. I would think they would need to split the county in a northern and southern zone. Really hard to keep...

If you are heading north to ride......

We did get out Sunday and got some more stuff cleaned up. We headed out of cruiser barn and brushed trail 47 going to Lake Tomahawk. Was strange being the only ones on the trails. We had the key to get through the lock gates. Luckily going that way trails weren't as bad.

    4s and jump box

I carry a Noco jump pack. It's amazing how much juice these little jump packs punch now days. The way I look at it better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. I carry it in my truck when I am not snowmobiling.

If you are heading north to ride......

How about Snogoers getting a 113 people to show up clear the trails. That's awesome. We helped cruiser and we only had 10% of what they had. Too bad all clubs couldn't get that many people to show up for brushing trails. I will say the trees are beautiful up here rite now with the flocking of...

If you are heading north to ride......

Attakman good to hear from you we have been talking about all the damage on what gives. I personally am hoping to get up and help the Cruisers since they are my primary club. Was going to maybe help Barnstormers but now that Jerry from the Cruisers is talking about going out Saturday that is...

    What gives?

As of now looks like Barnstormers,Cross country cruisers & Snowgoers are needing help this Saturday. Everyone seems to be saying the same thing that they have never seen it this bad.

New addition to the snowmobile community some day anyhow

Congratulations Jim they are so much fun.

    What gives?

Goofy that is pretty much what every club is saying. Sending out Crews and only knocking out 2 to 5 mi in 6 hours or so. What the clubs really need is like 50 people up there pitching in and then each group of two can get a couple miles done in 4 hours and about 5 hours. All the trails would be...

    What gives?

It never ceases to amaze me how little some people will do. If you are out riding on trails that officially open when they really shouldn't be then help out and clear the trails if your out riding. I keep a little hand saw with me at all times and have done plenty of brushing through out the...

    What gives?

From all the pictures I have seen in the club sites,it is a real mess. We may go help one of the clubs on Saturday. As of now I know Sno Goers and barnstormers are planning on going out. You can take your sled. Just trying to figure out how to haul saws and other tools on a sled. I guess you can...

So just got up to st.germain measure 9" in the yard. A little more than I thought we got.

    Maybe, just maybe……

I personally can't really remember any years that the ground freezes in upper peninsula before the snow. That big lake to the north normally doesn't allow that to happen. So this will be like any other year where they are going to have to rely on sleds to pack the frost down

    Oxygen vented shield?

I will second Euphoric it helps. Is it now all of a sudden a nice cool helmet No. It's better but overall still on the warm side of things. I still have my 509 helmet for those plus 30 degrees days. When it's colder though for me there's not a better helmet. Only wear a light neck gaiter but...
