I remember one year we had a power outage in December for over 12 hours and all my Christmas lights were on and my neighbors kept asking me if we had power when the rest of the street was off. We were the only house with power on the street. :cool:

It's the younger generation. Not all (Like Indy) but a vast majority of them. I don't know why to be honest but they have less respect for authority, life is all about them and they are owed everything. I know it's a general statement but I didn't want a long post. I deal with all generations...

you have to log in to the discussion board. I'm not a web IT guy but it could be similar to how the board knows we signed up for the bar stool. It can see we paid our annual amount whatever it is and know not to throw all the crap at us. I do this for youtube. I pay a small amount each year...

I suggested that a few years ago when John was still with us. I didn't get a response. If the pop ups and adds are for money maybe we could all simply pay a membership fee to get rid of all the crap. At least worth looking into.

I get it. The mom and pop places probably don't want to deal with the BS of finding people. It can happen however. When certain businesses are in town that aren't allowed to close they find a way (and staff) to make it happen. you won't find dunkin, McDonald's, Wendy's, gas stations just close...

But when it does it is a great place to base out of. if there is snow to the south you can go all directions and there are great trails and they are QUIET. But don't tell anyone ;)
