With the expected warm weather (50's Thursday through Sunday)..it won't last...I'd love to go 2 more weeks, but that's probably wishful thinking...We'll see how it holds up this weekend....lots of snow in the woods, but little to no frost, and the base was gone as of last week....at least we got...

Oneida County 3-16-26...reopening tomorrow 3-17-26... with exceptions (read release)

BTW...Just a reminder that the barrels and markers are pulled on all Northwoods Passage area lakes (Oneida, Hancock, Nokomis, Mohawksin, the Spirit, and Lake Alice)...it's NOT safe....DO NOT RIDE ON THE LAKES!!!!...Nokomis is sketchy as heck right now, as they are raising the water level, so all...

I didn't say the Keweenaw.....The pictures I got from friends riding up there were mostly eastern U.P......they ran into alot of water holes/wet spots...and I did see one picture of a huge waterhole outside of Ontonagon..but that's why I said for folks to check reports from the areas they were...

    ONEIDA COUNTY 3-6-26

BTW....most of Oneida County got little to NO snow from the expected "storm" ...we had just a 1/2 an inch in Tomahawk, and so did Rhinelander...looks like you had to get north of Minocqua to see 4 plus inches (3 inches in Woodruff, 4 plus in Arbor Vitae) More measurable Snow is in the forecast...

    Oneida County 2-23-26

UGLY...The trails deteriorated rapidly today..they were an easy 7 out of 10 this morning..it should not have surprised me with temps hitting 52 today..but none the less it was disappointing to see.. the rail road grade is in poor condition...with bare spots, and gravel...(and i watched people...

    Oneida County 2-23-26

Trails are excellent right now...it was 2 above at my house at 6 am....the warm weather tomorrow shouldn't hurt it....temps are going to drop over the weekend, and even with heavy traffic the clubs should be able to groom and keep things decent through the middle of next week.......however the...

    Oneida County 2-23-26

The recent snow helped trails alot over the weekend.....we did get anywhere from 4-7 inches across a very narrow area of the Northwoods Thursday into Friday...and then it just kept snowing...we received about 2 inches of Fluff Saturday into Sunday, and another inch of fluff yesterday. Its also...

so far 5-6 inches reported in Wausau, Rhinelander to Eagle River...it's a real narrow band of heavier snow...3-4 inches Tomahawk area...but further west....and northwest...way less...it's a really fine line between who got snow and who didn't...for example portions of Price County had less than...

    Update Oneida County 2-20-26..YES!!!

and it's still snowing here in Tomahawk with a good 3 to 4 inches on the ground...I was told heavier bands are occurring just to our east....so Pelican Lake should be just as good...the heavy bands were from Rhinelander north to Eagle River...they are saying an additional 2-4 here so we will...

    Update Oneida County 2-20-26..YES!!!

They blew the forecast...nws, and all the local TV guys were wrong...and it's in our favor for once..it's Snowing to beat the band, and supposed to continue through noon...already approaching 2-3 inches here in nokomis, and expecting 2 to 4 more through noon...what happened was the heavier band...
