    2013-14 Season

Figured I can get some of my best photos from this season posted to share with everyone. This first set are from Christmas Break back home in Wisconsin.

    Western U.P. / Keweenaw: April 5th

Seems like most of the people I know to go riding with are calling it a season. However, I was hoping to get some riding in on Saturday, especially if John's forecast for Friday holds. If anyone is in the Western U.P./Keweenaw area on Saturday and is looking to do some riding with someone let me...

conditions from ontonagon to copper harbor

Yep, things are pretty terrible going through Hancock - only a 25 inch (smooth) base as compared to a 30-35 inch (smooth) base everywhere else... hahahahaha While the point of this picture (from yesterday) wasn't exactly to capture trail conditions in Hancock, you still get a feeling of how...

    Bleezard in the Keweenaw

Great to hear those snow totals, John. I will be up that way tomorrow (now just hoping my parking/unloading spot will be somewhat clear). Took a little longer than expected, but things started get nasty here around noon. I still don't think it is as bad (right here) as last year's but still...

    Keweenaw Ride - 1/25

Wasn't sure I was going to be able to ride this Saturday, but as of right now it's looking like I will have the time. If anyone or any group is looking for someone to do some riding (prefer off trail) with in the Keweenaw let me know. Have had thoughts of combination trail/off trail up to Lac la...

    Where is everyone?

Great meeting and talking to you for a few minutes yesterday morning Indy! While the businesses in the Western U.P. may not be getting their maximum influx, I am sure there are plenty of businesses in Northern Wisconsin who are absolutely relishing this good start to the season, with hopefully...

    Everything Grooming....the grooming thread

Our club's main unit is our Tucker 2000 Terra. As jr37 stated Tuckers do take quite a bit of maintenance (and sucks fuel), but at the same time I couldn't imagine a machine that is more "nimble" in the conditions our club has. Whether it is extreme drifting, deep ditches/steep plow banks, or...

    Fall Colors?

Agreed, had a good time today at Mount Houghton and the cliffs above Cliff Drive. Great October day in the Keweenaw! As a side note, to those who have been to Mount Houghton before, which side of the mountain do you climb up? I feel we very well might have took an unconventional route to the top.

Best trail you've ever been on? Sorry Bobby Boondockers

While in the Keweenaw, the Eagles Loop (especially the stretches on Garden City Rd. and Delaware Shortcut Rd.) While in Northeastern Wisconsin, lots of great trails in Northern Marinette/Florence Counties, but favorite would probably be Corridor 7 between Athlestane and Dunbar - seemingly one...

    Keweenaw/Western U.P. 4/13 - 4/14

I know it's pushing mid April and most everybody has put the sleds away for the year, but considering how it looks right now and the forecast for the next week I am seriously considering riding next weekend. Anyone interested let me know.

    lots of snow

Some of my snow day pictures: Picture 1 is Tuesday afternoon, not even one of the strongest squalls. Picture 2, while the depth of snow is sort of hard to tell from the photo, we pretty much had the front of our house clear of snow just two weeks ago for Winter Carnival, now its back up to...

    Keweenaw Ride - 2/16

Just wondering if anyone was interested in meeting up and doing some riding on Saturday in the Keweenaw Peninsula area. I do mainly off trail riding, but am fine with trail riding if the trails are smooth. Either reply here or send me a PM.
