Fresh 5" of sugary system snow fell here in the Keweenaw over night of the 4th. Milder temps expected Tuesday through Thursday in the mid 30's with a possibility of a high near 40 on Thursday. Night time temps are expected to remain in the 20's so things will firm up overnight.

Yep, Twin Lakes. It is piling up here in the Keweenaw, we awoke this morning to an additional 5+" of fluffy LES. This stuff was much easier to move as it was like feathers. Me likey.

Winds were crazy here in the Keweenaw. Some areas with 22 inches some with 8 inches some with 4 inches. I guess average of 11 inches. Water saturated beneath the new snow due to rain snow mix before transitioning to snow. Blizzard warning continues in effect until 4 pm.

The NWS has amended the Winter Storm Watch to Blizzard Warning. Snow accumulations of 14 to 21 inches are are possible with more likely in the higher terrains. Winds expected to gust in excess of 65 mph in the Keweenaw. Wide spread power outages are possible due to downed tree limbs. Let's...

Temps have been in the low to mid 30's here in the Keweenaw. We had some unexpected freezing rain early this morning which eventually transitioned into a light snow by 6 am. Temps through the day have been above 35 with occasional mist. The current pattern looks to continue until Sunday...
