First off, I want to say, I will never hear or see this word again without thinking of this joke.....
I was at my bank today, there was a short line. There was just one lady left in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars.
It was obvious she was a little...
Here is a picture from yesterday May 20th. There was actually 2 people down there throwing snowballs at each other. That is the first time I've seen that happening.
The clips were a flash from the past! He was a good actor on a good show. Sadly, they don't make'em that way anymore. Condolences to his family & friends.

We had a brief blast of snow late in the afternoon here in the Keweenaw. There was a trace this morning on the roof tops & elevated decks in Calumet. The flakes were the size of quarters in 36 degree temperatures, not unheard of here in May. Last week we had a few day's in the 80's & a few in...

Below is a picture I took this afternoon (May 2, 2025) of the infamous Laurium Glacier. It is beginning to show signs of melting as the top & bottom edges are receding a bit. There was a mix of snow & rain moments before I took this.
Trails here in the Keweenaw are closed from Calumet north until May 15th due to the amount of snow, water & mud. Many parts of the trail system from Calumet north are on privately owned land.
