07 f7 lights flicker?

i own a 07 f7 cat has been in storage for the summer we started it sunday started fine ..... but the lights would flicker (head light ,dash litsand tail light) they would stay on for a while then flicker ,we looked for wires chewed by mice and saw nothing anyone have an idea ?

There is no 07 F7. Probably voltage regulator.

sure sounds like a loose ground.
does it run any diff when lights flicker?do they always flicker or only when giving it some RPM?

it runs fine when the lights flicker

If it's a 07 - F6 then it could be your harness rubbing ( plastic coating on wires wears off by connector ) or there is another wire that grounded out on mine ( right hand side of bar ) if I had it in the garage i could look. Spent a lot of time taping up the connector wires individually.

well the main ground for that sled is on the right side just muffler side on the inside of the bulk head just above where the foot well would be kinda hard to get to but check that first.then pull steering post alloy plate just behind pipe and check all connections back there.then get back to us

Great thread, only because my buddy's 06 Crossfire is doing the same exact thing plus when using the brake all the lights will go out. I unplugged the brake switch at the handlebar and it seemed fine the last ride of the season last year. Makes me wonder if the short is in the taillight harness somewhere.

With that being said the sled was parked and I have not had a chance to check all the wiring, should be able to do it in the next few weekends when back up to the cabin. Will post on here if I find something.
