Well...I had hoped to come on here and give u good news today....that we had fresh snow, and the trails would be good to go by the weekend....but that is just not the case....we received a dusting to a 1/2 an inch across the northwoods....the storm must have went further south...the good thing is starting tomorrow..our low Temps look to cool into the teens...so hopefully some of the wet, slushy areas will freeze up....as of right now...my sled will be parked until we get more snow.

Sorry...I know it's not what you want to hear...but mother nature kicked our butt the last 8 days, and we have little to no snow in the forecast...the holding pattern continues. :(

Northwoods Passage would like to put out a big Thank You to those that stayed off the trails while our January thaw was going on. We managed to save a nice base in most areas. Groomers have been out since it cooled down and have most areas as smooth as we can get them to get ready for some fresh snow for the second part of our short season. We had some areas with running water open up on us and lakes are gonna be a little rough for a bit. Anything not groomed have wet areas where we don't want to take a chance with heavy equipment until they freeze up again. Some areas have some bare spots and some other areas we could actually fill the drag with snow!! Hard to believe. Now lets hope for even a little snow out of this next storm and we should be in great shape for next weekend. I know MY thumb is getting a little itchy!!
