Attak Man just wanted to thank you for keeping us up to date on the trail conditions. You have been giving us honest feedback for years and it is greatly appreciated.

Agree. Would hit the like button if we had one. As we have discussed in the past Attak man - I often base my sledding out of the willow flowage, just north of you. AND.........have made my decisions based on your reports - because I have always found them to be spot on.

Will be doing the same for this weekend - so I will be waiting for an update:).

Keep up the good work.

Just did a quick ride from Nokomis in to Tomahawk. The Bearskin groomed up real nice. Trails should be real nice around Tomahawk this coming weekend. We road a lot of miles this weekend from Nokomis both NW and NE and there is lots of snow left for the groomers to work with.

Does anyone know how to block a user, to avoid reading this garbage?

The problem with the correcting of the English language on a public forum is the person who is being corrected takes offense. Then people wonder why they are afraid to post anything on this forum. The people are afraid of getting attacked. In years past I have read people believe there are cliques on this web site. This, in my opinion, this IS the reason why....

I have no problem with an occasional light-hearted correction of grammar. However, when you constantly write a novel to point out someone's grammatical errors, it really detracts from the discussion and is completely out of line.

I could care less about grammer Nazis (or is it Nazi's..lol)
I was out riding today, (see my new report) not correcting someone else's grammar on a trail report site...its silly...if I could do a trail report in pig latin...i would...lol

x2. Just groomed from Somo up to Boomba Bar Plenty of snow. Couple inches tomorrow into Wednesday would be great!! Trying to keep
everything flat. Sure nice to be able to take a ride every once in a while to experience first hand how the trails are holding up.
Attak Man, looks like it's time to start a new thread(s).

Thanks attackman, Swampy and other positive reports or negative. Love the honesty. I’ve been riding east rhinelander and north and pretty darn good. Have group coming up, how is mcnaughton or Harrison hills, west or south between hodag and tomahawk? Have not ventured that way, decent shape? Hoping for a little freshening tonight. Fingers crossed.

had a friend ride the Harrison area on Sunday. And even with the warmup, areas away from towns were very good and held up to the heat and traffic.

Thank YOU!

What a weekend!!...Havent seen this many sleds out in years. Northwoods business owners are grinning ear to ear today.
That being said...the trails took a bigger punch than expected, with the high traffic and warm conditions...the Hiawatha is in rough shape ..it was too warm to groom, and sleds that were out tore it up....but don't panic...the club's will be out working the trails the next couple of days..its currently 20 degrees with it lightly snowing (pretty fluff stuff)....there is a chance of some light snow Tuesday into wednesday...maybe enough to freshen things up a bit....and it's gonna be cold at night (single digits below zero starting wednesday)...so the club's should be able to smooth out some of the rough spots...the problem with this last snow was that it was too warm for the club's to get it to set up...the snow was just balling up on the groomer....i will be out the next couple of days and report back with pictures...so don't sweat it...im very confident the club's will get the bad spots rideable by mid week...and good spots will be even better..flat, smooth and white.
You guys know me...if I think it's trash I will tell you...unfortunately..the trails deteriorated faster than expected Friday into Saturday (can't control mother nature, nor the amount of traffic)...i personally would love to see the trails temporarily closed when temps get above 35... (to preserve the base)...but that will never happen.
And my final rant is for all you jack wagons who called club members and barked about the trails, perhaps you should sell your sleds, and find a new hobby as you clearly have no concept on what it takes to groom, and maintain a trail system...barking at volunteers who can't control mother nature is unacceptable...a true snowmobiles takes the good with the bad and enjoys what's out there...that is the end of my rant...some of you will hopefully be a bit more pleasant to club members in the future.

Thank You Attak man our groomer dudes work 12 hour spots! This is for the JACK WAGONS Dont piss them off or they might not groom anymore. If you have complaints about the trails WE SURE COULD USE SOME HELP! Let's all have fun out there and enjoy this winter!

Maybe we could just start a verbal campaign to get people to stop riding when it's that warm. Maybe they are just too stupid to realize that they are ruining the trails for everyone else, and we need to educate them. Peer pressure can work wonders.

Nice thought. Good luck with that:
