what track is the 1.75? challenger? ripsaw? other?
in most cases I say bigger is better but some tracks are trenchers no matter how tall the lug like poo competition track assault track for example the worst trencher built for pow but great on everything else.
at this point no matter what u put on u would be fine nothing but hero snow everyplace and the popular spots are like a hard pack trail till u get way way off and up over the pounded.
what is your intended ridding if just planning on playing in the bowls and what not your stocker will prob do .
if the place u intend to go gets 5 ft of fresh the day u get there they will both be worthless

I would do the challenger then I dont think the 1.75 came in hard and soft I think and hope for you they were the softer compound but really no biggie with it only a 1.75.
if conditions stay same across the west u will be fine with what ever u have I think guys with 121 rip saws can even play in the hero snow as long as they dont venture to far from the hard pack

yeah i can definatly play around some with my ripsaw but it gets pretty hairy when the woods gets tight and there's a lot of starting and stopping. the 2" paddle i was running earlier this year had to come off, I guess they don't like corn fields.

drove through the hills last week slim pickings.
we drove past tog and it looked pounded hard 20 mi in every direction.Talked with Dan Adams in alpine about heading up to tog for a few days he laughed and told us don't wast your time they have gotten no snow and it is pounded hard .the sunny sides are getting a bit thin in Bridger nat but the trees and shade were all good prob had to get 5 mi from warming hut at blind bull to anything un pounded Mccain cabin shade side was best we found if u have a turbo and a big set U could get to some good stuff just out side of town in alpine.
for some reason the ID side had way less traffic but only hit it 1 day it was good. but 22hrs is a long drive for ok but what are u going to do
