Paulding looked much better RB cabins looked really sharp new deep autum color & a few cars at the new eatery. Stopped by Greenland Adventure Mine but closed & scoped out ski hill not sure ski hil still in biz. We have closed ski hill in 3 lakes WI fun to play with sleds wondered if this was same way? Sure miss Strongs in Watersmeet sausage & beef combo sandwich! Yum

10 Day Forecast does not give me the warm fuzzies for snow in Northern WI & UPMI. Sure hope 2nd half of Nov gets colder & in the snow storm track.

Really was a nice day today sunny & mid 40s. Marked my sled trail to the lake then stacked some wood & heard chain saws buzzing everywhere in the hood today. A great day to work outside

Duluth is only two weeks away..the snow they're making now will be washed away this weekend there talking thunderstorms up here for the weekend.

Just to be clear, I live about five minutes from Spirit Mountain (where the snocross races are held) and they have not made any snow yet. Looking at the forecast, it doesn't look good. However, if we get a few cold and dry nights, it's amazing how much snow they can make when they have 15-20 snowguns blasting snow on a small area. For the race organizers, this year might be a nailbiter.

Except after writing, the NWS put us under a winter weather advisory for 3-7" tomorrow and tomorrow night. Would be nice- especially if it stuck around, but I am a little leery of the 7" totals at this point.

Was 55 this AM and just came in from a jog and it is 35,,,big change real fast. I would assume we are seeing normal conditions for htis time

The bright side to the forecast at this point is it looks like good traveling weather for Thanksgiving 22nd!

It was finally cold enough for Spirit Mountain to turn the snow guns on last night. I assume they blew some snow on the area that will hold the snocross track, but I haven't seen any pictures to confirm that yet.

After looking at Johns historical records, having anything worthwhile on the ground before Dec 1st is a rarity. The panic button will only come into play if there are no cold shots visible on the long range models sometime after the 25th of November.

To those that are interested, I was up at Spirit Mountain today and they made quite a bit of snow on the area where the snocross race is held. I estimate they had the snowguns on for about 36 hours straight. Now, it's too warm to make snow. Not sure when they can turn the guns on again. The big, aluminum bleachers for spectator seating have also been delivered.
