2001 Xc sp 600 overheating problems

I recently bough a 2001 xc sp from a dealership on trade as a back up sled. Within 40 miles, I blew a head gasket. Called the dealership and they fixed it for free. Put 550 miles on it the last weekend of riding up north. Ran great besides some problems not idling down. Put it away for winter. Started it up and coolant started to dump out of the belly pan into my enclosed trailer. Pulled it out of the trailer after the first snow and it ran good for all of 5 minutes than the temp gauge sensor went off and it seemed to just bog down and run on 1 cylinder getting it back to my house. Now I can smell coolant when trying to start it and it is really tough to start. Anyone have issues with this or have any insight on what could be wrong and best way to fix it?

could be a head I also got a jug back from millennium technology's last yr for a f5 I was working on.long story short the jug was 4thow shorter than the one on the sled they sent a new one and it was the same.
took some time to figure that one out.

Base gaskets shot, worked on three of those this year, ran the same, leaked, could smell coolant. take top end off, new gaskets and O rings. should be $50.00 for parts.

Make sure your anti-freeze coolant cap and bottle can stay pressurized. I had a 2001 Edge X, that would trip temp gauge sensor because coolant system when got to running temp could not hold pressure.

hole/split in coolant hose
bad o-ring
water pump seal
warped coolant bottle
cracked coolant bottle
hole in coolant bottle
broken/loose head bolt(s)
bad head seal
water pump stripped
bad thermostat

Any or all of the above.

if you had coolant dumping from the belly pan, i would check Hoses first. likely a hose clamp was not tightened when they worked on the head gasket. or there might even be a cut somewhere. fill it back up and bleed it and see where the coolant is coming from. This is also likely the bogging issue since that machine will go into limp mode when it over heats. hopefully you did not ride it too long low on coolant and cause further damage.
