2011 800 rush

I'm shocked because Polaris has a new 4 stroke and did not release it, also the 600 Rush and 800 Rush was going to be direct injection for 2012 but they didn't!

The only thing I can think is since the 800 Rush is perfect don't touch the motor.
I would run my 800 Pro R Rush against any other brand 800, just to see how much faster it is.

This is driving me crazy because all the snow is melting and I want one last trip up North to run my 800's against each other on the lake, had sleds checked over by the dealer tighten the track changed plugs, I did some small adjustments on the suspension.

My 800 Dragon I love runs great but not as fast as the Rush if it was I would be dead.

I even let other people take a spin on the 800 Rush and they were shocked how fast it was, Polaris has a winner.

I still can't believe how little oil it uses, I double checked 1,055 miles on 1 gallon of Polaris oil and power valves are still clean also.

The 600 Rush is good also but not the head snapping torque the 800 has.

Alright so Indy XCR I need some info from ya. I've heard nothing but good things about the 2011 800 rush pro R. I want to get one. However; I was at the Polaris Dealership today and they have a brand new 2010 800 dragon. Clearing it out and is about a 4500 dollar difference from the 2011 800 rush. From my understanding it has all the updates. I am currently looking acquiring more information on the dragon at the moment from the dealer on specifically what upgrades they did.

What would you say to this? Should I get the 2010 800 dragon with upgrades? What are the major differences in the engine and performance from it. Obviously the ride is different haha. Would like to hear your two cents. Should I wait and pay full price for the rush. They are selling like crazy right now, don't see myself getting a deal.

Thanks

I paid $9,700.00 for mine, never pay full price. if you want a rush get it,don't settle for something else if you don't have too. Also a set of woody's 6" dually front carbides made this thing handle alot better.

I.M.O., I wouldn't touch a 2008-2010 800 (4-injector) because of the fuel mapping issues.

There seem to be way less issues with the 2-injector 800

I have a 2009 800 Dragon, they have 3 left in Eagle River WI for $8,100 at Track Side.

Also I have a 2011 800 Dragon here's the deal the 800 Pro R Rush is the way to go, the 2012 800 Pro R Rush you can order for next year with cash back, the 2011 is a year old as of today never pay full price for a one year old sled, I would order a new one unless you can get at least $1,000 of the price season is about done.

Looks wise the 800 Dragon looks nicer handles great but had a lot of problems with updates.
The 2011 or the new to order 2012 800 Rush you can get a 4 year warranty.

I never had problems with the Dragon, but others did nobody has any problems with the 2011 800 Pro R Rush, your call both nice, but the power is unreal with the 800 Rush like nothing Polaris has done before.

One more thing I heard the 2010 Dragons ran good but were not fast, I did not drive one so I can not say for sure.

If you get the 2011 800 Rush get the Med or Tall windshield or you will freeze.

Also add the back bags for storage because there is none. One under the seat for maybe a map. And if you go off trail order the radiator guard or it will be costly if something hits the radiator, small stump, branch, rock or what ever.

My 2009 800 Dragon for off trail ,trail or whatever.

My 2011 800 Pro R Rush trail and roads only, if I was going to blaze my own trail in the woods I would order the radiator guard from Polaris the dealer had somebody learn the hard way big damage to the radiator.

What is the top end for the 800 Pro R Rush, had it to 95 more to go but not smooth enough on the lake to go faster.

I have it dialed in perfect know, before I could not keep the ski's on the ground for the 100+ mph run on the lake.

Almost 1,300 miles on it but the snow melted the last week and 1/2 ago.

Hopefully I can get my last vacation up North 1st week of March.

It looks like like Tomahawk south is good.

Check to see if your wire with the resister is plugged in or not. Mine is left unplugged and runs super fast it will hit 100+ easy. My 2011 800 Pro R Rush.

Other 800 Pro R Rush sleds are plugging in resisters.

But I will say it again my 2009 Dragon will shut down at 75mph wire unplugged, plugged in 100+ much faster no bog.

I say take it back to the dealer have him run a computer check on your sled.

Also run 91 to 93 octane fuel only if not you will have problems, stay with good gas stations BP, Shell, Mobile, and Citco.

I also ran into sleds that people say I run the cheap gas, you ask for problems then.

I run the good gas. I have been running the ethanol resister with pure 93 octane gas, i didnt know if that was the problem. looked for the resister and cant locate it.

When i say pure gas i mean no 10% ethanol blend. If you look you can find it. The place to look is your local fuel distributor. Maybe i'm lucky but i have a disributor about 2 miles away with it.

I don't think there is good gas with no ethanol in IL.

Thank god you can find good gas in northern WI still.

Big difference how the sled runs.

I'm in Northern IL

Where's no ethanol fuel?

And more importantly, where do you find it out on the trail in Northern Wisconsin + the Western U.P.?

My understanding is that BP 93 Octane Premium has the LEAST amount of Ethanol in it.

In our area you have to go to a Shell or BP station, their premium is ethanol free. Unfortunately we have a lot of Kwik Trips and Citgos around also and all grades of fuel contain ethanol.
