The funny thing is that I started this thread I own a 2009 800 Dragon and a 2011 800 Rush, and I just want to tell what is good or bad,

Then people say BS and don't even own one you are a loser.

I'm real happy with the 2011 800 Rush over 1,200 miles on it runs great 0 problems, the 2011 800 Rush is much faster than the 2009 Dragon, I will have to do a radar run on both in 2 weeks and get the exact speed 1/4, 1/2 mile runs. The belt is still good on the Rush but I think I will need new carbides for the next trip I have woodies on it.

The 800 Dragon I put on stud boy square bars love them $75 holds the trails better. I bought 2 pair to last 4,000 miles.

The triple point ware bars I would like to try on the Rush, maybe if they make them for it also the cost I heard $150 ???

I've got a 2011 rush 800 pro r with 250 miles. I've finnally got my suspension dialed in with a bmp exaust and the thing flys no problems at all. Heading up north wedsnday to put some more miles on this thing.

Just one thing I took the ware bars that were on it and put on woodie carbides, I need even a better bite because the 800 Pro R pulls the front end of the ground make sure you get the front suspension dialed in with more ski pressure or you will be wrapped around a tree going through a ice corner.

The walker evan shocks are great a few turns on the front and your set.

I have just passed 1200 miles on my 2011 Rush 800 ProR and have not had a single issue. I am running the non ethanol resistor and for anyone who has questioned you can feel the difference in the mid range. I do not know what a dyno or radar would show, but seat of the pants it feels stronger. I have asked in previous posts with little to no response: would any of you guys be willing to share what settings you are running on your suspensions? Of course the settings are directly related to rider weight but i thought it might be interesting if there is a common setting that riders are going with.

Switched out the back springs, put in the stiff rear springs run on the med setting I weigh 220 to 240 with outfit, helmet, 6'1 height, had the the dealer set up the back suspension when I was there on my weight the dealer has a special wrench for the main shock, Then I do the fine adjustments with the dials.

Like I said before if you weigh over 200 lbs put in the stiff square springs or your suspension will suck.

Also turn the front suspension to put more weight on the front for a better bite on the ski's.

I have the wire unplugged for the 800 Rush runs great, the 800 Dragon I have the wire plugged in runs a lot better, always run good gas 91 to 93 always.

Some people say there 800 Rush runs better unplugged some plugged in.

The people who have problems are the ones who run 87 cheap gas or 89 then run it hard, or the Cassey's water gas.

If you stay with a BP, Mobile, Shell, or Citco you will be good others flip a coin!

One last thing my 800 Rush I only used 1 gallon of oil for 1,000 miles easy on oil. 120 miles on a tank of gas better than my 800 dragon.

This is why I think Polaris didn't release the direct injection.

Just wanted to give you all an update on the 2011 rush pro R 800. I turned over 3,000 mile last weekend in northern wis. Have not had any problems yet. I was able to over heat the brake one time by riding very hard through a curvy trail for a long time. The P light came on. Sat a few mins and it went out. The sled really rocks!! The MPG is good. I am very close or better then most 600's that i ride with. I don't like people saying that they are getting x amount of miles per gallon. It's all in the rider. If you want to be a sunday rider and putts. Then you will have great MPG. But if you are like me and want to ride hard for a long day. You aren't going to get the best MPG. The Rush Pro R 800 is for the rider that wants to pound the trails hard and blow the doors off everyone.

This sled is great on oil which is nice. You can get out and ride all day and not have to stop and buy high dollar oil some place to get back. (There is no way I'm riding a four stroke and riding through the curves like a >>>>.)

if you haven't rode one yet. Get on one and try it. Polaris is at the top of there game with this sled.

There is belt holder on top of the clutch cover. It's a pain to get it clipped in place and I had to bend the clip to get the belt to fit.

There is a holder under the hood on the belt/clutch side. Open your side panel and look above and in front of your oil resevoir, it is a clip attached to the hood itself.

The wire is easy on the 800 dragon left side open hood two wires I plugged in, the 800 Pro R is hard to get just left unplugged the Rush there is no open the hood you have to take off the side panels very tight fit. If your sled runs great don't mess with it.

If I have a problem with it I will have the dealer show me I want to see if there is a big difference before I do anything.

The 800 Rush rocks will not touch anything 100+ easy.

The rush has a resistor plug that actually has to be removed and replaced with the one in the tool kit under the seat. You will find the plug just behind the oil resevoir and it is taped up at the end of some wires. I had to look a little cuz the resistor as well as the wires are black. Once you find it you will see it easily every time you open the side panel.

The resistor can be changed and needs to be changed depending on the fuel you are using. You can leave the stock one in if you like, it is good for all fuels including fuel with ethanol. The resistor in the kit is specifically for premium only without ethanol. Do not use this resistor if you suspect the fuel has ethanol in it. I have switched to the premium resistor once I was sure I had premium with no ethanol, and in my opinion it makes a difference in mid range power. The bummer is more and more stations have premium but the pump says may contain 10 percent ethanol, so be careful. I have not had any issues so far, but my understanding is that the detonation light will come on.

You would think with all the tech out there Polaris would have a better way than wires and a resistor to mess with. They should have a switch on the dash to flip.

i agree that they could of easily installed a low and high setting like they had on the older ves models!! Its a shame we have to worry about alcohol fuels ,,,its b.s and we lose fuel economy with it!! My next sled sounds to be a pro ride 800 unless they come out with a new 4s turbo ,i currently have an 08' fst and love it !! That pro ride looks fun

I agree, a switch on the dash would have made things much easier. And yes the Rush with the pro ride is loads of fun to ride, you can definitely do wheelies all day long if you want.
