Given all the "storage" these sleds have, I don't get the wasted space at the back of the seat. My old Evinrude/Johnson golden ghost has a seat that flips up and you can put loads of stuff in there.

Someday these sled makers will figure out that MORE sleds are sold and used in the midwest and East, than all over the west coast and mountain areas, and will stop catering to the dufflebag on the back crowd, and put some dog-gone storage space on the machine. It is like an after thought at best and mostly a zero thought process. Doesn't function EVER enter into the design phase anymore???

I have real nice Polaris Switchback bag on my RMK, that holds a lot of stuff. But I had to but it seperate.

As we all know the last 10-15 years or so the snow has not been the greatest here in the midwest or east coast. The mountains have been pretty consistent though, the dealers have to cater to the western crowd also.

I really really really hope Polaris has the bugs worked out of this motor now that they are making it their flagship for 2011. There are plenty of guys still trying to get that 800 to hold together and work write. It looks sweet though.

Rumour has it that it is a 2 injector motor, a lot easier to figure out the mapping with two injectors. Lets hope so!

I have a 2010 AC Crossfire with their new shorty set on it. It has one of the best in-seat storage compartments I have ever seen.

Has been totally waterproof so far and I can put my arm in damn near up to my armpit. Could fit all sorts of stuff in there if you needed to.

See that scares me even more! I have an 09 600 2 injector motor that had a ton of problems right out of the box.(quite a few other guys with same problem) Its fixed now but it took 3 reflashes, and new cylinders and pistions to get it right. But that didnt work for everyone. The fact that polaris goes with the 2 inj, then changes at the last min to go with 4, and now rumors about back to 2 is not very confidence inspiring at all. To me its says "we arent sure what to do?" im not bashing, I like Polaris. And i know not everybody has had trouble but enough have for me to shy away from the 800. I just hope they can figure it out soon.

I thought the 06 900's were 4 injector? My buds 05 900 is a two injector.

Skylar, are you letting the snow get to you? Or is it me, I thought olsmann, said 09 600?

I honestly do not know which one would be correct, but the new RMK does look pretty sweet. I wonder how that front suspension will compare to the previous models?

Olsman was talking about his 2009 2 injector 600. Polaris was going to put that engine in the 2010 Rush, but because they couldn’t figure how to eliminate the cold scuffing that was accruing on last years early run Rushes, they scrapped the 2 injector and went with the 4 injector instead. The 2 injector was used on the long track Shifts in 2009, but for 2010 Polaris put the 2 injector engine on the shelf. This years 800 I am sure is a 4 injector. I am purely guessing at this point, but I heard it has an upgraded ECU to handle the complicated injecting system making it very reliable.

No i have a 09 600 cfi 2 (shift 136) i know poo was going to put the 2 injector in the rush and switched to the 4 at the last minute. I suspect the change was made due to the problems they had. Not many people bought the 600 shift 136 or the 144 in 09 (it almost felt like polaris hid the motor in these models for consumer testing) so you probably didnt hear much about it but it did not work well, Very bad midrange stumble, we all got reflashes twice and then some of us had to get the new cylinders and pistons and a 3 rd reflash. I am in contact with about 3 or 4 other guys around the country that have this motor and mixed results, most are ok now but 2 guys are still fighting with poo. One even had his go down with the polaris rep riding it after all the fixes were just done. So im not sold on the 2 injsector completely even though mine is ok now. There was even an article in one of the mags about this but since the no one really has this sled and they arent making the motor anymore it wasnt really front page news.

Like I said im not bashing, Im probably gonna buy a 2010 600 rmk(4 inj) in a month here. but right now the only motor i would have a lot of faith in is the poo 600 4 injector. In fact i was at a large polaris dealer in the western UP a week ago and test drove the 2010 rmk 600 and noticed very little mid range stumble on that one also, (i can live it with it cause the sled is sweet) But when i asked dealer he said "if you want a polaris without a midrange stumble , i have a nice shift 550 i can sell you. Its just the way they are!" And this was the owner talkin. I just dont think they are going to be able to make their CFI work perfectly under the current EPA restraints and patent problems with other DI stuff. Its sad because i think if poo had a competitve 800 motor they would be close to being on top again.. but im also afraid they are one bad lemon away from ruin.

I wonder why they wont give the upgraded ecu to the poor guys that have struggled with this 800 motor for the last few years?

The 2011 800 RUSH will give my 800 Dragon a run for the money. Dad just ordered one 2011 800 Rush, selling his 2009 800 IQ, March 8th.
The snowcheck should have a choice of a different color other than red and black.
Price between $11,000 to $11,500. that's what the dealer said, March 1st we will find out.

The Rush is a trail sled.

Right but it was pretty easy when riding the pre-production fusions back in '04 that the first generation IQ front end was going to be a handfull on a mountain sled due to heavy steering and an enormous weighted front end feel. That was the input I was after, if anyone had any seat time on the '09 Rush compared to an IQ RAW ? I ran a vertical edge 800 RMK one more year to avoid the first year IQ 900 RMK. But then again now I'm on a XP so who knows...
