Every year the sled makers keep making them better. The way it should be. Now if they could drop the prices back down around 10k, that'd be great.

True dat!
Ski-Doo needs to get there rebate strategy right. I pre-ordered a 2016 and got screwed on resale today as they dumped a bunch of rebate money about the end of January.

If they do it again, I am done pre-ordering, F that.

Gotta believe all brands will have state of the art on board GPS soon. Some kind of a route planner with a system like mapquest to direct every turn. This would be helpful to the guys in our group that have been riding the same area for 30 years but still get lost. For the off trail guys maybe the bigger rocks and trees could be mapped. I'm only half kidding.

prototype track will not have perfectly spaced paddles....dont look to much into it

Lugs are either 2.52" apart, 2.86" apart, or 3.0" apart. There is no other option right now.
If doo did come up with a "new" track, they would have to design it right from the beginning, not just cobble together some garbage like that. Its a photoshop.

Yes i am aware of track pitch. If the rumor of a new length and new drive shaft/no drive shaft is real its very possible skidoo spliced a track together for prototypes. Also i have seen tracks that have unequally spaced lugs...

Thats unfortunately what happens during a historically bad winter for east of the Mississippi and canada. I will say this is the first time in awhile i seen doos go for so cheap. I think it was also becuase they are coming with something big and need to clear out the old. Spring order ONLY sleds still bringin good money but yea if u bought a blizzard or tnt/adrenaline model last spring you took a good loss.

What drives the track if there is no driveshaft?

Why would they splice together a track? If you can design and build a new sled, you can easily design and have a new track built. You don't just test a sled, you need to test everything about that sled, including the track. Tracks are even more critical in mtn sleds vs trail sleds. There is no logical reason for doo to hack together a track after the rest of the sled has been designed and built and ready for testing. And if it was just thrown together for a marketing stunt, they sure as heck wouldn't have a huge flaw for the whole world to see.

That sled was from russia being tested, not for the world to see!!! Who knows if they blew a track and spliced a 174 t3 together. No one knows. Or it could be like this track...is this photoshopped to?!?!? ED6987B1-5E45-4CB2-B279-A70C28A234E5_zpswgota7f8.jpg

Clearly one reason why doos mtn segment is WAY behind Polaris and Cat.

Haha why cause camoplast has defects? Good one. You can say that to yourself to make you feel better, but reality is doo isnt far off with their XM T3. Actually many prefer it over others. Most Everyone agrees the etec 800 is the engine to beat. Now 850 in a mountain specific chassis. Doo haters are worried.

lol. why would anybody be worried? mtn guys aren't like trail guys. They buy the best sled period. first it was cat with the m sleds, then the pro rmk. Now its the axys. They aren't blindly brand loyal.
How do you know a T3 isn't far off? Do you get to the mtns much? Have you ridden all 3 in the mtns?
Wait, no need to answer that, Im sure you are riding buddies with Rasmussen.
