do u really think the market share is worth there time?
lets be real not many sleds sold around the world to start with
then take less than 15%of those are 4stroke buyers
pretty small hunk of pie to spend the time and money on I would think.

I would have to disagree! The 4-stroke market is gaining momentum as proven by Ski Doo with 3 strong entries in the 4-stroke segment that are actually best sellers in certain markets! This is a great place for Polaris to gain market share!

kind of odd that a utility only comes with a 800. do trap line runners really want only a 800 ?

Looks like there is a longer xcr. I know two guys that were hoping for that for 18.

Not sure what is different between the SKS 146 and the Assault 144 - is it just the front end is narrower on the SKS?

Polaris just doesn't get it. For our utility use[grooming ski trails] it MUST have a four stroke, not a noisy ,smelly, vibrating 800.

Low rpm high output stator is a plus on the workhorse titan.
4 stroke only adds weight. This thing even has a good shock package an still weighs less than a yamaha.
800 160 hp is way more than needed with a low gear range trans.

I think the Titan has it's place. Let's also remember that with success it will probably be a segment that grows for Polaris. Basic utility sleds have had limits in deep snow and steep terrain. This will break many of those limits!
XCR 136 is a great idea and with electric start opens it up to a few more buyers.
In a year that had bad snow and soft sales it would be stupid for a manufacture to release any ground breaking Tech. The 800 HO has been a solid motor and still as competitive as it gets in performance and so far has proven very reliable. The 600 CFI is also at the top of the heap in terms of performance and gets respectable fuel economy and is an oil miser. Look for 2020 to be a big year for Polaris (with Mother Natures Help).

Two-stroke exhaust becomes a headache (literally) when you're grooming at five or ten miles per hour for hours at a time. I'd take the weight penalty in exchange for clean and quiet for grooming.

I can understand not wanting a Titan if your intention is to strickly work it like a tucker.
But if you want a dual purpose sled that is also trail/adventure ridden, the Titan might be better. It certainly will be 200 lbs. lighter.

Many 4-stroke utility sleds in Canada. I could not believe how many we seen on this trip up there. 1200/900 Expeditions all over the place.

Polaris titan was new , doo was a held even, Yamaha is still golden with the sidewinder, Cat introed a new 800 which will most likely, based on past 2 stroke reliability, be a winner and i think the biggest new reveal.

Re: new SKS - Oh sure they come out with the sled I wanted this past year after I got a 2017. Only problem is it only comes in a 2.25" track which is too much for my riding. Slightly shorter lugs and I am in.
Oh well I do like my 2017 SBA so no complaints there.
