A last minute decision by my brother and I resulted in another ride up in da yoop. It also helped that my wife and daughter were flying out Friday on their week long vacation in Florida. Nothing else to do, might as well go sledding right? LOL.
I guess we have to start with a first pic, so here it is
My brother had the first stuck of the weekend. Every time that cat gets within a couple of feet of a tree, it wants to climb it. Weird.
I rode Kim's sled up and out of the stuck, and he walked down the hill, well, he figured it would be easier just to do a somersault, so he did, then he got stuck in the snow. LOL. Here he is after he got himself out.
A little scenery
Ohh yeeaa, untouched.
Umm, little technical difficulty here, ahh, the sun was in my eyes?
This stump was at a perfect angle, and with enough snow, made a great jump.
Me jumping
Kim hitting it
Here I am jumping a berm
Kimmy stuck
Saturday was bright and sunny. We started the day out with a quick jaunt down the Nichols trail, which was peeerfect, as it has been every time we have been up this year. Big thanks to the Superior Snowmobile club, and all their volunteer groomer drivers. We jumped off the trail, did a little climbing through the trees and up the hills, until we found this. SAWEET!
Kim and the sleds
Here I am with the first stuck of the day. Turns out this was a solid rock outcropping with about 18" of snow on it. It was a treat getting out.
My tracks coming up
Powerline run, Lake Superior in the background.
Jumped on trail 13 by the Kangas farm to head back to Twin Lakes for more gas, perfecto!
A little break before we jump on the trail
A little more jumping
Kim, going bigger than me
This mound looks like
A great launch pad!
Kim, c'mon, step it up!
O.K., that is better.
Wow, more untouched, we left this one alone though.
Another great ride, don't know if we will get another one in or not. That will be up to my wife I guess.
We missed Julie and gang, and we missed Scottiking and his team by about a half an hour.
You don't see too many people when your in da woods all day.LOL.
