Can you snowmobile on the Bill Nicohols trail after March 31? Isn't that trail open year round? Mainly in the twin lakes area?

As Skylar said, yes you can, keep in mind that particular section of trail is a dual purpose trail. As such, it doesn't close per say. It's entirely possible that you may see some side by sides or ATV's, just a word of caution.-Mezz

Thanks for the responses. Hopefully they get some more snow this weekend! Should be able to do some riding for a few more weeks in the woods.

You didn't "get slammed for it". You just failed to see the difference between riding forest roads, and boondocking it through the woods.

And as already noted, the Bill Nichols is not in that yellow area.

um.... your wrong....but that leaves more SPACE FOR PAPA to run...explain it to us all again about which forest it is in....LMAO

North-South route on the East side of the Ottawa National Forest (ONF) ... west trail arteries: The southern most Iron River to Marenisco Route (IM), the central Sidnaw to Bergland Route (SB) and the northern most Bill Nichols Route ...

The Bill Nicholls Trail is primarily utilized by snowmobiles and ATVs but is also suitable for mountain biking. ... Much of the trail passes through undeveloped land of the Ottawa National Forest, which places restrictions on the types of motorized use permitted.

"Much of the trail passes through undeveloped land of the Ottawa National Forest, which places restrictions on the types of motorized use permitted". This sentence refers to the Pioneer Trail, not the BN.
