We recieved 1" in MW overnight. For the week we have had about 3", one inch every night for the last 3 days. Still 12" of snow on the ground and the lakes have nice snowcover which will probably keep them frozen until May. Where is that Global warming when you need it?

About 6" here in Duluth. 13" up the shore in Silver Bay. Yes, I think ice out might be a bit later than normal this year?

I would like to think that ice may go out by the end of the month but there is up to 3 ft of ice on some of the lakes on our chain still and they are all still snow covered which just insulates them from any melting. we fished a smaller lake on Monday and there was still 2ft of ice on it. Opening fishing is on May 7th this year and I would be surprised if our lake is opened up even by then but 2 weeks of warm temps, wind, and some warm rain might do wonders.
