509 helment

thinking about getting a 509 helment. anyone have one? how good are they? i do ride 50 50 on and off trail. was wondering how cold they are for trail riding. and not really sure which pair of googles to get with it eather the aviators or the sinisters.

I LOVE my 509 with my 509 goggles! Won't be going back to a full face anytime soon!

I ordered the aviators the first go round, but they have a smaller frame and DO NOT fill the face opening of the helmet leaving alot of gaps around the goggles.
I sent them back for the sinisters and they fit much better to the helmet with nearly complete coverage

I have the 509 helmet and the Sinister goggles and absolutely love 'em! I came from a full face and really like the setup. Glad I got them!

thanks for the help. kinda thought the sinister's looked like they would fit better. but still one question we all know how the weather can be in the good old u.p. how bad is to wear on those cold days on the trail at 80 heading to your fav spot. lol i have a old hjc and love it when i am boondocking but can't stand it on the days i'm just trail riding.

Snobuilder- You said you bought a good balaclava. What did you buy? I bought a Klim F4 helmet and 509 sinisters and am looking for a good balaclava.
