It's now 7 days since a snowfall report has been posted. It is also Jan 15th and trails across central Wisconsin haven't even opened. Pretty bummer of a year for those of us who enjoy riding these areas.
It has snowed quite a bit in the UP in the past 7 days, just no reports of it...

Hello,
I live in Green Bay and we have three inches, very sad. Without snow, I might as well move to Phoenix or Palm Springs at least I can still drive 3-4 hours to ride a sled. Instead of driving to Watersmeet I can go to the mountains.

Makes sense to me!
and Frank, don't ya love how today's forecasted 21 degrees turned into 36!
Now we have 2 inches of snow.

We can control many things in our lives, unfortunately, the weather isn't one of them. Not quite time to hit the panic button yet,
but a nice long snow dance by all JD'ers can't hurt. It will get better!! I can relate to your pain though. It's a tough pill to swallow
when the season is so short to begin with.
But I am driving 9 hrs to Eagle River tomorrow. Cant wait!
We'll be in Munising from Jan 23 to 25.
Been go up there with no snow problems since 1980.
That would stink. Mine is an 06, I don't lose much if it doesn't snow as muchRight on. Came home from work at 5 pm and the snow has compacted to the point of seeing grass again. I don't know if the trails will even open this year in Brown County. Based on my historical memory, if the trails in Green Bay are not open by Super Bowl, tehy won't open.
Wish I didn't buy a new sled and trailer; FFFF!

Doesn't help that Ski-Doo did not get me my new sled this year until December 11, 2014. I missed the entire snow boom that occured in November.

It amazes me to see people complain about no snow, who live in a state that boards a state that does have snow. We’re talking maybe a 3-4 hour drive to find the snow you want?? Even saying I bought a new trailer for no reason! Try living in FL (not by choice, got go where the money is) and only get one week out of the year to snowmobile and hope that week you pick is the right week. We’ve been traveling to the UP for the past 10 years and have been lucky. Sure it’s nice to be able to leave from your home to venture onto the trails when there is snow. Try planning and paying for a plane ticket, snowmobile rental, car rental and lodging just to snowmobile for five days straight. Starting late November, I’m on this site everyday reading everyone’s interesting posts, complaints, complements and following the weather. I’ve obtain a lot information everyone has provided, but bottom line is, be fortunate you only have to travel a few hours to find the fun.

Yeah, I know I am a cry baby. With career taking up more time each year I have less time to ride and less opportunity for overnight travel. I may have to hang it up soon as a full fledged buyer of sled each year and begin to rent say twice a year. Hoped it wouldn't come to that though. I imagine you felt the same way when you moved to FL.
