600 etec stronger no doubt unless you are not using all the 600etec has to offer then 900Ace better for you.

I ride a 600 and got to test 900ace, 900 is very torquey(if that is a word) in the low end even feels more than 600. 900 pills good to about 60-70 mph then really falls off it will get to 90ish but takes awhile, where 600 still pulls good up to the 90-95 mark. My wife also got to test ride it and said she liked the 600 better so I will be getting her a 600 again! Hope that helps, if you like the 600 and want maybe a little more you would have to go to the 1200 from what I've been told but haven't had a chance to ride one.

What kind of comparison? Which is faster, smoother, quieter?

The 600 will be faster on top, but how often will you ride it flat out?

If you haven't been over to the DooTalk site, here's the link for the 900 section, several discussions on the 900 vs. other models.

http://www.dootalk.com/forums/forum/169-900-ace-4-stroke-models/

Some guys have been playing with clutching and have found there is some room for improvement if you feel the 900 is too tame. Cudney Racing has a kit already available.

I have a 900 and really like the sled, smooth, quiet and for trail riding, what more do you really need? And averaging 22mpg on 87 0ctane fuel.

Get a chance to ride one, do it.

Was out for a ride last Sunday, pulled up to a "pitstop" and there were two 900 TNT's parked outside. Went in and spoke to the owner's of the sleds, asked them what they thought of the 900's and their answer was "best sleds we've ever had". I agreed! :)

If you like the 600 and want to go 4 stroke you would be better off going to the 1200 I love mine. It is not nearly as fast as my Mach Z 1000 but I think it is pretty close to speed and fuel as the etec

The 1200 is comparable to the 600 etec. I like the torque of my 1200 and the mileage.

Forgot to add that everyone I've talked with concerning the 900 ace have been very positive.

Bought 14 Renegade 900 ACE for the Mrs. 1400 miles of all types riding, except mtn. Renegade geared lower than shorter TNT, or GSX. With that it pulls extra hard to 60-65, then tails off. Top speed less than shorter TNT, GSX. MPG, 18 deep snow, 22 good running, 87oct w/ethanol no problem. This sled is not a top end racer, but everything else is just what I wanted. 3 modes very useful. This thing is nothing but fun, only problem is now I need another one.

Sorry to have left this out. My snowmobile bud has 2012 Renegade 600 E-TEC. 900 ACE only lacking 65 mph +, and top end. 900 Renegade is slightly quicker to 65, again perhaps due to gearing. Fuel eco very close. But 900 very happy on 87E gas. The surprise was the 900 ability in the deep fluff, forest roads and 2 tracks. This sled will really surprise many.

The ace 9 is an over priced due to high tech demise a sleddin.
The drive by wire is a frikken joke....try to control the flipper in the pow....LOL..you can't!
On the trail you have to giver 1/2 paddle to get it to move and then it produces Poo 550 performance from there!....LMAO!....congrats! you just paid $10,000.00 for a $6000.00 performer!

does Doo still produce the "ace" 600 because I can't imagine someone wanting LESS performance than the "ace" 9 has to offer.

I agree! All I can say is ride one and decide for yourself. I rode one, bought one and no regrets!

I have heard nothing but praise from people that own or have had the chance to ride one for an extended period of time. I'm buying a 2015 ACE900 Ren. Adren. for my wife based on everyone's positive input.
