How does a bartender disprove that they were the only source of alcohol the person consumed??

Point is, if he is IN your bar, you can cut him off. Witnesses are nice. I was in Hurley in January and there was a guy who could barely stand and the bar just kept giving him drinks. Of course, they were probably just trying to blur his vision so he didn't notice the 250lb mess on stage.

It doesn't matter if he consumed elsewhere, if you served the person while he was intoxicated you are liable for his actions.

That is ridiculous , I have seen this happen way too often, it's sad as some bartenders just want to make a buck off a guy.

I'm referring to what the person has after he leaves your bar whether you cut him off or not yet the bartender could still be called out as an "over server" when something tragic happens and it gets investigated.....Maybe we could blame a judge for lets say NOT locking a guy up for a 4th DUI?
